Speaking of the Swans, I am always so impressed when I hear Kinnear Beatson speak. If he ever plans to come back to Melbourne we should grab him.

Kinnear actually lives in Melbourne now and works remotely when dealing with the swans. It's was written in an article profiling him that because 80% of AFL talent comes from Vic, it makes sense that he would live here.

"What Richmond should do", by SEN. Farking lol.
I mean they literally didnt say anything about richmond

"Richmond traded out of this year’s draft by luring Tim Taranto and Jacob Hopper from GWS.

The Tigers gave up picks 12 and 19 in this year’s draft to land Taranto while parting with pick 31 this year and a first-round selection next year in exchange for Hopper.

The club focused on the 2021 draft by bringing in five picks inside the top 30, but won’t be too heavily involved in 2022 with only two later selections."

Yeah, that whole "Geelong won trade week" angle was a little bizarre, yet hardly unexpected from the footy media.

Imagine for just a moment that the Tigers had pulled that deal to get the Suns 1st round pick, and grabbed a couple of fringe youngsters like Henry and Bruhn, who may or may not make it.

And on the flipside, Geelong had traded in Tim Taranto and Jacob Hopper into their aging midfield.

There is no conceivable way the media wouldn't have also rated that outcome as "Geelong won trade week".

It's amazing how often delisted players grow an inch.

He's about the same height as Jacob Bauer, but Bauer plays tall and RCD does not.
He doesn’t play tall because he’s been played as a midfielder. Has he been tried as a tall forward If we can turn a baskerballer into a ruckman surely we can turn RCD into a tall forward

4 years in the system and people will not accept that RCD is not at a level good enough for the RFC to see a future for him. For Christ sake move on. He’s off the list. Also he’s soft. Not what you want for a tall forward.

Rather neither but George if we were forced to keep one, which we were, as George is contracted.

In Wikipedia RCD is listed as 193cm. Surety we can find a spot either as a third forward or third defender for this kid
Big kids with that much talent are hard to find
If he really had ‘that much talent’ he’d still be on our list. His position was a desperate need and he obviously wasn’t quite up to it.

And why does it take getting delisted before he’s doing extra work ( as shown by media since he got delisted)? Perhaps that attitude would have him still on our list and strongly positioned before Dow, Ross, Sonsi in the pecking order?

I think you’d find that they are almost all doing the extra work between seasons but when they have a contract there’s no need for their managers to call in a favour to get that fact out in the media

Maybe he wasn’t a midfielder just like Liam Jones wasn’t a forward. Sometimes players get pigeon holed and it takes a change of club where coaches look with fresh eyes. Will be a shame if we get it wrong without trying all the options

Lol they played like ~ 12 senior games between the three of them, and they won trade work,,,,okayyyyyyyy

I think those who work with him and tried to develop him to his strengths would have a better idea than us after 4 years.
If he makes it at another club in a key position I’ll change my mind
