Mod notice after Mr Bob did a lot of annoying work in moving days of posts out of here. As we are heading into offseason, this thread is for 2023 list management only. Getting upset on previous trades can be taken to the vent thread. Lets keep this thread on track in the part of the year it's actually relevant

And yet I believe Taberner was pretty ordinary in the St Kilda match , He's still here .
Is it 1 goal so far this year from Tabs?
If he is our best KPF as others have stated , man are we in big strife!!

The reason Taberner is playing over Tracey is because they don't want 3 young key forwards in the same side. Jackson Amiss & Tracey all in same side is risk. think they hope tab get the best defender. hopefully treacy goes well in for Peel.

I think once Fyfe is back Tab might be the one that goes out

Because he is experienced and had proven himself over the past few seasons. If two players both play equally bad games, you're not gonna drop the one who has shown a higher ceiling.

It's a shame because Tabs actually looked like becoming a very reliable KPF for a bit before the recurrent injuries started to hit again. Had 30 goals by round 10 in 2021 before he had that ankle injury, and then from there it was just injury after injury again and he never recaptured that form. Though he still averaged 2 goals a game from 2020-2022.

He keeps his spot because they still have hope that he can recapture that. It'll take a whole season of him going goalless before they realise that it's not coming back. But for now at the very least he's an experienced body that takes the best defender.

So basically they don’t want to risk losing but instead risk long term development? Sonny, Schultz and Switta are there, why can’t they have young KF and surely Treacy is going to bring more than Tabs currently

Going on round 1, Tabs plays over Tracey, Tab's took 4 marks Tracey 0... I know its one game but on history you'd have to go Tab's

as I said hopefully Treacy can find some good for at WAFL & push his way in. cant just hand free games out
