It's all relative. He was impressive for a Tarkyn.Tarkyn Lockyer was the most uninspiring VFL coach I have ever seen in action. He played plenty of games but had no oratory presence as a coach.
Harrison short of a run, but the rest sure. Frustrating that there were good players, including talls, still there at the pick we traded to Carlton.Yep, time to retire, Derek. Wright has fixed the first team with clever trading and clearing out deadwood, though Derek’s fingerprints are still to be seen in the twos. Low on personnel, but VFL even seems too high a level for Richards, Harrison, Murley & Kelly. Hawks dominating. Sad to watch…
Richards had 1 possession to half time ftr…
There is a mad pies fan named Tarkyn playing for Sandringham Dragons this season and he he is wearing the 35 tooIt's all relative. He was impressive for a Tarkyn.
Are you in a position to make the call that there won't be better options available in next years trade or draft period? Because that's the call that the club has made.Frustrating that there were good players, including talls, still there at the pick we traded to Carlton.
Rubbish. Two seasons in a row we have had injuries to our talls which has had a huge impact on our VFL squad. They were a team of midfielders and back flankers for most of last year and look the same at the moment. If Wilson, Bianco, Allan, Begg and Dean were playing even those five ins make a difference and this has a flow on effect. Things are never as bad or good as they seem. We are missing Cox, Cameron, Howe and Krueger has just returned after months of no footy. As someone else stated the Hawks have a nearly injury free list other than Lewis who would be a loss.Let’s be honest our recruiting has been trash. Kelly no, Harrison no, Murley no, Draper who? Richards country, Reef all talk no show, McRae ok, Steene ???? Tall keys (don’t exist)

That’s true, but it’s also true that our recruiting has been poor. Richards is a mature player that is sadly one of the worst players on the ground, with a dozen VFL listed players doing more. Meanwhile Thomas Scully is starting to fill out… and at 202cm, was available at his pick.Rubbish. Two seasons in a row we have had injuries to our talls which has had a huge impact on our VFL squad. SIGHFreddie looked like he pulled a hamstring.
He always looks one mark, kick, run or jump away from injury.Freddie looked like he pulled a hamstring.
SIGH
He always looks one mark, kick, run or jump away from injury.
Haha I wonder why…Why did we keep Kelly over McMahon? Such a bad decision.
Fingers crossed a tweak. He participated in the game afterwards, but who knows.
Felt The decision to draft Richards at the time was questionable. Now it feels worse.
Trying to be too cleaver instead of drafting well credentialed young players like Cowan, Horton etc...
We Could have even had a crack at a prospective tall like Keeler or Lemmey instead of a small forward. Happy to be proven wrong in a couple of years but it's looking sketchy
Surely would not have continued playing if he pulled a hamstring?Freddie looked like he pulled a hamstring.
