Tarkyn Lockyer was the most uninspiring VFL coach I have ever seen in action. He played plenty of games but had no oratory presence as a coach.

Let’s be honest our recruiting has been trash. Kelly no, Harrison no, Murley no, Draper who? Richards country, Reef all talk no show, McRae ok, Steene ???? Tall keys (don’t exist)

Rubbish. Two seasons in a row we have had injuries to our talls which has had a huge impact on our VFL squad. They were a team of midfielders and back flankers for most of last year and look the same at the moment. If Wilson, Bianco, Allan, Begg and Dean were playing even those five ins make a difference and this has a flow on effect. Things are never as bad or good as they seem. We are missing Cox, Cameron, Howe and Krueger has just returned after months of no footy. As someone else stated the Hawks have a nearly injury free list other than Lewis who would be a loss.

Ruscoe being touted by commentators as Collinwood's best and the only Collingwood player who would be included in the best 6 on the ground. McCrae also had 21 possessions and one of our few decent players. Nice bit of play then by Murley first to knock the ball on upfield then handball-receive and goal. Carmichael also in the stats.

Trying to be too cleaver instead of drafting well credentialed young players like Cowan, Horton etc...

We Could have even had a crack at a prospective tall like Keeler or Lemmey instead of a small forward. Happy to be proven wrong in a couple of years but it's looking sketchy

That’s true, but it’s also true that our recruiting has been poor. Richards is a mature player that is sadly one of the worst players on the ground, with a dozen VFL listed players doing more. Meanwhile Thomas Scully is starting to fill out… and at 202cm, was available at his pick.

Ruscoe, Carmy and Macrae the only ones to do a bit today. And I’ll add that Begg would not have added much at all. He can’t run or jump in the dry, let alone the wet.

I don't know why Fly is pushing Krueger for an early return. He cannot get through a game without limping off or staggering about holding a sore or broken body part! Not his fault-I'd love to have seen what a fit Kruger could have done but he is simply not to be trusted especially if they want to use him in the ruck.
