AFL tribunal ****s up yet again with the Caminiti suspension compared to Broady's.

Both injured players get a concussion, however one is a football action executed poorly, the other is a thrown forearm/fist behind play. Broad gets 4 weeks, Caminiti gets 3. How in the world does that make sense???

admits his impending contract call is the biggest of his career.
The unrestricted free agent turned 30 in April but remains a key member of the Tigers’ backline, which he patrolled during their golden era that delivered flags in 2017, 2019 and 2020.
Gold Coast previously tried to lure the West Australian north in 2020 when he was last out of contract, but he re-signed at Richmond. West Coast are the latest club to show interest in Broad, but they are going through a major rebuild, while the Tigers – despite a slow start to the season – are trying to stay competitive.

“I’m not too sure yet,” Broad told Money Talks of his future.
“I’ve spent the last four weeks out of the game [before returning from suspension on Sunday], so getting back in the side was the main thing, then playing consistent football from here on in.
“I love this footy club. I’m 30, which people see as getting old, but I still feel 18 – I feel great. We’re in a bit of a lull, but I know we’ll get our way out of it.
“I love it here and hopefully will sign on, but I’ve just got to play some games now.”

I think Broad is in better nic than Grimes but Grimes is captain.
We've had these 2 medium defenders for a while. One leaves it's fine, replaced by a tall or a small. Hugo or brown, or Rioli, Short and Baker

Reckon Broad waits to see what happens this year. Lots of young guys coming through in the defence. He is 30, so only a few years left. If we can snag another title that'd keep him. if not then go the $ I reckon would be the logic.

Reckon someone like Geelong would offer three years. He's a late starter. Hope he gets the most out of his career and if that's not with us, wouldn't begrudge him. Two years feels right.

Broad may as well stay at punt road unless there's family over there

If we're giving Broady to anyone, I hope it's the Eagles. They won't be any real danger to us for at least three years, which will pretty much see out his career.
