I actually do not care what position they’re competing for … honey offers zero and kemp deserves a chance … when you have our mounting injuries this like for like crap goes out the door imo

Ok, but whether you care or not isn’t really the issue.

It’s pretty clear they play different positions and aren’t competing for the same spot in the side.

You may not like it, but I can’t help that.

Pitto taking more of the ruck workload is much preferred, TDK has still shown nothing that proves he's a number 1 ruck

I disagree. He showed plenty last year in Pittonet’s absence. He’s also been quite good this year except for last week.

The issue is he doesn’t do enough when not in the ruck.

Pittonet doesn’t either, but against a man mountain in Marshall the choice is an obvious one IMO.

All the media hype around TDK being worth $800k was so over the top.

Honestly he's nowhere near that level and isn't even our no.1 ruck.

Looking forward to see if we have more run this week with a smaller setup without TDK.
He’s following a similar trajectory to Tim English imho. It was year 5 when he started dominating. I recall in year 4 he got belted by Gawn and Grundy in separate games. I think in 2024 he will be one of the better ruck in the comp. You can already see his presence in the stoppage improving. He’s way more confident in his ability to compete, push out and out work his man. BACE4C98-B69E-4E28-8C30-43D0A378108D.png
Tim on the left Tom on the right at the same age. With 11% more time on ground the glaring difference which puts TDK well in front or on level terms in most ruck stats apart from contested marks.

I understand the intent and strategy of keeping Honey in, but would prefer Kemp in and LOB sub from the emergencies. Honey just hasn’t had a good enough recent body of work.

Actually, should’ve been Dow for Honey! 😝😁

Last year when we were at our best Pitto was instrumental.
