Was better than Miochek
I won’t have that.
The work Checkers does off the ball leads to many scoring opportunities for others.
He is a battering ram and puts his body on the line time and time again.
It might not show up on his personal scorecard, but I know Fly understands his value to the team and our winning ways.

Mitchell earnt his pay in the last quarter. His work in and under was enormous.

Degoey, Crisp, IQ were also terrific in the last quarter.
I'm sure Titch can't believe his luck.
He got pushed out of a sinking ship by his namesake & gets to do what he does best in front of 95,000 people.
Live the dream Tom!

I thought he had a good game. But that doesn’t discount his flaws and it was very much a game of 2 halves for him. I said in the pregame discussion he’s poor 1v1 unless he can get a run at it, vindicated, cost us a goal. I said he’s not the best aerially, vindicated, cost us a goal. He has his strengths but to suggest that game will/has silenced the critics is just folly.
Sorry - but for his first game the positives far outweighed the huge negatives critics proffered before the game.
His kick to Ginni showed amazing composure under the huge pressure at that point in the game.
He had 100% DE, 7 marks - 2 contested.
A much better game than the critics could have expected.
Your goal of first up perfection, is a completely unrealistic standard.

This team is a joy to follow. They are never beaten. I was hoping for a respectable loss but they were looking for a percentage boost and would have got it with another five minutes! That was better than the Billy goal after the siren. The passion Fly has created both within this club and with the supporter base is something I haven't seen in decades of supporting the mighty pies.

People seem so quick to judge others.

Did he do the right thing according to my moral compass? No.

Did I have a chat with my kid about his actions on the couch at home? Yes.

Is it my role to judge him and his (non-criminal) actions? I don't think so.

Am I a complete moron in the game day thread? Yes. Pls don't judge me me fam. I get passionate 😉😂✌🏼

Will Kelly is an absolute monster kick, had two kicks in the last quarter that went about 60+. He had impact as a sub which is what we after. Hopefully he can put a couple games together and see where we're at with him at seasons end.

Will played with a composure that belied his relative inexperience. I hope he gets another run next week. I never lost hope in him.

Ruscoe too, was sensational.

Both players experienced a baptism by fire and repaid the faith shown in them.

This was the best ANZAC day game I've watched.

After Steele's goal in the last, I lost my sh*t, as did everyone around me including my daughter.

Frampton really stood up today, and we really needed him to given our ruck issue

Who would have believed this bloke could play so many roles so well? He handled Draper better than Grundy ever did. He was all over him in the second half.

Now you’re just making up shoit. I’ll leave it there comfortable in the knowledge you’re wrong.

I hope that point post was ok after it’s collision with Checkers

I thought I was watching the Pies vs Cats final from last year at one stage, the scum tried their very best to get Essendon over the line...

Absolutely unbelievable and then we have Daicos...

Onto the next.

Sidey was there from the opening bounce winning one on one contests and playing his heart out. Markov really stood up under intense pressure and Ruscoe showed he is able to step up under high pressure. Wonderful depth players. Even Kelly did everything right when he came on. When I think of how many goals we handed them on a plate with skill errors or free kicks it makes our win with an undermanned team all the more remarkable. Too see that big lug miss after the softest charity free was simply delicious. And the Beau wraps it up with another knife through the heart after the siren. Was it all a dream?
