Hello Tiger fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

tugga you may like to sticky or merge this post, move it to the start of the thread (so the sticky post doesn't rotate if a post is deleted before it), or copy it to your draft thread.

Happy enough with our trade period. We came in with little currency, improved our draft hand, got a player in a position of need (especially since Bradtke got the chop, decent return on Soldo and figure if Nank and Ryan go down we grab someone in the mid season draft. Biggie got an opportunity elsewhere.

Not too much else I reckon would have made sense for us. Give Yze the year to work out who is going to suit whatever gameplan he implements.

The Kosi deal is starting to be a bit of a s**t show & i think its going to cost us now as the Hawks will likely demand some of our Soldo returns as part of their package for him.

I think the club should just walk away from it & focus on getting Ollie Lord as part of the Soldo deal. Then when reality kicks in for Hawthorn that all their leverage with us is gone, wait for them to contact us in the final hour to accept a 3rd, but we be cheaky & ask for a future 4th in return. They have no leverage atm except our eagerness & he wants to leave. Get Soldo to Port asap for Lord, before the ******* Cats do it with the Rata deal.

Go for 2 key forward i reckon

Kosi - even before Trade period, out of contract next year, not being offered a long term contract - has requested a deal to Richmond

Hawks: We want a 2nd rounder. No ifs or buts. 2nd Rounder

Soldo - Its been a week of trade week & ive finally decided i want to go to Port

Richmond: OK we will trade you tomorrow for exactly what Port wanted to give us

We have definitely lost our "Art of the Deal". We buy & sell like my Boomber in laws, zero *s to value
how Power got Soldo for exactly what they wanted within 24 hours of request & we are still piss-farting around with Kosi is beyond me

Love that you have disliked this Rok. You sure love to live your own reality. All our deals this year have been pretty uninspiring & we look like we have made a meal out of getting a VFL standard Forward

To me its less about the return, but more about how much we barely tried to push them harder for more, or use it as leverage to try and demand Ollie Lord from them

Ports 2nd rounder next year could be in the 40's. Pick 41 & 43 for example doesn't sound like a deal i would have accepted for a premiership, 27 year old ruckman who the club had vowed was required and Port don't have the assets for a week ago.

Well, turns out Port did have the assets all along - 2 picks in the 40's, lmao - we look like idiots for saying that now.

I would have taken Duursma or Lord over the future 2nd rounder for sure.

My god - you guys are easily impressed. How could anyone be stoked to get a future 4th round pick? With priority & compo picks to be added its likely something in the 80's. Most teams have stopped picking at that point anyway - a Future 4th is only going to be useful for us if we expect to be cutting 6 or more players next year

2022 - 4th was last round with only 6 picks & 59 kids selected
2021 - 4th was last round with only 13 picks 65 kids selected,
2020 - 4th was last round with only 8 picks, 59 kids selected

a Port future 4th is no better than our 5th round pick, as they likely go top 4 again

Easily the most petulant, misinformed dribble I've seen on this forum ever and I've seen the Magician post some pearlers over the years.

Richmond just got more for Soldo than a multiple All Australian Grundy and enter the 2024 trade perioud with the 5th strongest draft hand based on this years ladder positions whilst having Dusty, Grimes, Nanks, Prestia's contracts expiring.

But hey, what would Blair know? RJK knows better!

Genuinely hope we give Scott Lycett a call, if his knee is okay he’ll be handy backup and might even crack best 22.

Why did I solve that as "Dilute your account"

Koschitzke looks a very good fit for us, he has shown above average marking ability, a good lead up forward and a turn of speed, all these attributes should make him a dangerous forward and allow him to become that high half forward that can come up the ground and provide a marking outlet in our transition from the backline. Providing he can find the consistency required at the level he should be the perfect foil for Tom Lynch and allow them both to flourish. Looks to be a very valuable acquisition for the RFC

The only part about the Grundy trade that matters is the salary dump, not the draft pick. Most clubs would take him if it was a clean slate to negotiate with.

Jesus what a trade period it was, have we ever seen so many 4th round picks traded ever?
A collective spud farm of trades, happy with what we did with our shite hand
As Blair said, we had five picks in the top 30 two yrs ago, went hard at Taranto & Hopper last year, and this year it was quiet. Judging by the players who did move and the lack of enthusiasm about the depth of the draft, that is the benefit of forward planning.

The biggest value for Kosi will be his ability to pinch hit in the ruck. It means we won’t have to play Miller in the 23 just as a backup ruck. And we won’t have to worry about Balta playing ruck at times. Yze seems big on settling players in their best positions, which is important as the last couple of seasons I believe we got too cute with trying to develop flexibility.

Hope you read this Yze :

Balta FB
Short and Rioli HBF
Pickett wing or VFL
Bolton predominantly midfield
Martin 50/50 fwd-mid, not 85-15
Miller defence or VFL
Hugo wing or VFL

That’ll do for starters.
