Hello Tiger fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

Why the fk wouldn’t we take a ruckman with our first pick?

2-3 years to develop before Nank is cooked.

The chance of those category B rookies getting a game let alone making the cut at AFL level is about 2%

Sheeesh. How many of the last decade of premiership teams took a (primary or mainly) ruck with their first pick?

I'll give you the tip - stuff all. A premium mid or KPP is more reliable and valuable than a premium ruck.

Even Gawn was pick 30 something and Tim English was pick 19 after the Bulldogs premiership (and yet to deliver).

You name 3 premium rucks I'll name 20 players who are more likely to be match winners. Others will name 40 or 50.

might make him rethink his choices.
If he was capable of thinking then why did he join the blues where he will be competing against his brother for the last midfield position. I suspect that “rethinking” or any kind of thinking is not something he does a lot off

Soldo would have been a free agent next year and on the move. He wants to be a number one and he isn’t going to be that at Richmond

We got more for him than any compo we would have received for free agency so you bite the bullet

If that means throwing a list spot to Naismith before working out if Ryan is the future number one or we need someone else it’s not that bad
At his age a 3y contract in front of him right here and now especially with his injuries would be super attractive, I’m sure that was a massive factor

At his best I think he’s better than younger bro , will be interesting how good he can be at bloos, no excuses now , was a sublime talent at u18

Still doesn’t change my view that we shouldn’t take a ruckman with our first pick (which already is in the 30’s)

Agree to disagree

Big softie, should never have picked him.
Was worth the punt at the time
Especially when the list was crying out for a big bodied inside midfielder

Wasn’t the 1st that didn’t become the player we wanted and he won’t be the last

And it’s the same for every club

Yeah, hopefully we've learnt our lesson. Our drafting of mids, particularly early on in the draft has been atrocious for a long time now. It has set us back.
