The manner of that PF loss at home to Bulldogs and then the fade out this September should have been curtains for him. I'm not sure given the iffy finals record, that Port management couldn't have waited until end of the season to make the decision to extend (or not). Correct me if I'm mistaken, but it wasn't as if he was being offered jobs elsewhere?
It's always amazed me how someone in such high demand is wanted by absolutely nobody else.

He's the coaching equivalent of a public servant nearing retirement age watching the clock and playing solitaire while hanging out for a package.

No-one's hiring him.

You aren't mistaken, you have just overlooked the fact that we are complete ****ing idiots.

Unfortunately he narrowly lost the moral victor too after the judge's consideration.

The judges looked deeply in to the competition to determine who really deserved to win the most hated AFL coach moral winner award. After much consideration they determined the only winner could be...

Ben Stokes
Hinkley dominated because he was the only coach that only supporters of his own team voted for him.

Koch's KPI is how to get Hinkley reappointed without a riot or somebody burning the place down.

Ange Postecoglou going from 2013 Hinkley to 2016 Hinkley in the space of a couple months

“You get what you deserve,” he said. “It’s another game where we were well in control, probably should’ve scored a lot more goals, and we kept West Ham in the game and conceded two soft goals.

“So ultimately what you deserve really isn’t important, it’s the fact you haven’t got anything out of the game.

“It’s disappointing, disappointing for our fans (and) for us in terms of the progress we’re trying to make, but it is what it is.

“We’ve still got a long way to go as a football team and days like today show that.”

Hinkley has put a curse on Poostiwoglu since he's started to lose Hinkley loser talk is coming out of his mouth. Next he'll be saying the FA Cup is scary. It can only be voodoo.

Adam Simpson getting into Hinky areas out West.

I've flipped and flopped over what we should do with him over the last 2 years.

5 wins in last 70 games or some s**t. Spoon, 2nd bottom, multiple triple figure losses and he just hangs around.

Bring in Harley and it's all happy days apparently.

We are in a good financial position but we love money so much we won't pay him out after signing him up to an extension.

Funny how much time a flag can buy you (look at Bevo)

I know we've had bucket loads of injuries and covid stuff but gee whiz, at least you blokes are consistently competitive.

Good times. Interesting times, For both clubs.

I'd take Simpson (premiership coach) 100 times over ken

As if Port are going to win a flag with Donuts in charge.

People should actually be wishing for a Hinkley coached premiership in 2024 because that's the last box ticked and he can retire a happy man.

My hope is that there's a miracle and we win it - followed by a 'job done' exodus like in 2004. But instead of losing quality people that set back the club like then, it will be the no-hopers who have been and albatross around our necks for a decade. No need to name names

Un-ELEVEN-able record.
If he can't win with everything he's been gifted this off season, then fire him into the nearest black hole in outer space.

OMFG

We are now comparing Choco being a joke and turning Port in to a national laughing stock for it's underachieving, he was back against the wall and even the main long term sponsor and club benefactor publicly questioning his ability, to Ken Hinkley having to put up with a section of dissatisfied supporters, represented by Warren Tredrea and... The St Kilda coach from 20 years ago? With all club hierarchy and all other media figures in corner? And Ken Hinkley is gonna stick it up them?
