Surely, surely it’s much ****ing easier to find a talented player and teach them all that, than it is to turn an untalented shape keeper into a player.
Just a few Murphy stats to digest:
He doesn’t play well against Collingwood, he doesn’t play well at the MCG.
- averages a career 8.25 disposals per game against Collingwood, his lowest.
- In the corresponding MCG game last season, 7 touches, 1 contested possession, 2 frees against (and a goal)
- his worst three games last season for disposals included the two against Collingwood
He doesn’t play well against Collingwood, he doesn’t play well at the MCG.
the moment we remind ourselves that guys like Silvers and Nicks make decisions purely based on immediate results is the moment we should all just give up. Nothing will change. This plastic club doesn’t care for flags or what happens 5 years down the line.

The unfortunate thing about Murphy is that he does have decent Footy IQ. Reads play well.
Just can't execute.
Combine his IQ with Chayce Jones skill and physical traits, you have a very good player.

Baffling selections if you don't know Nicks is an idiot. Has to be expected though.
Going small you can't argue with. We went in too tall against Brisbane and paid the price.
Really glad we kept Cook in.
I was hoping we had made a decision with Hamill. He is on the rookie list, played 3 games in a row and was pretty bad all 3 games. He has been on the list since 2018 - played 41 games - surely we know. Just looks like another Davis, Rowe type of wasted game situation.
A best 22 that has Murphy, McHenry, Jones, Hamill in it is a pretty bad lineup.

Im at a stage where all I can do is laugh. He is so predictable its become funny. Don't get me wrong, its incredibly sad and torturing to see our club reduced to wondering what type of shit pile will Nicks dish up today.
