Disappointed with that... Would have preferred Witho over Rotham and felt like Culley needed some more time after his ACL. Kicks 5 goals and get Rising Star nomination, does his knee the next week and now delisted.

Burgiel is a tough one, the kid just can't get on the park with his hamstrings.

Burgiel has been plagued by injuries since being selected with pick 29 in the 2022 national draft and did not play a senior game.

The 20-year-old will be considered for a spot as a train-on player over pre-season.

Regardless of whether it’s Burgiel or someone else, we obviously intend to leave one list spot open post draft for a SSP signing

Brutal call on Culley considering he's only just getting his crap back together coming off an ACL. And Burgiel being a pick 29 flushed down the toilet, who knows if he'll make his way back on the list if they've pegged him to be a pre-season train-on player.

Culley needs plenty of time…. Unfortunately it’s because he was so slow to catch anyone… the preason game in 23 against port when boak burnt him off was enough to say he wouldn’t make it .

They are probably still waiting on medical advice on Edwards but Rotham can definitely get in the bin… find a DFA outside of DGB and it would be an upgrade

How do Rotham and Luke Edwards survive over that lot??? We are making some bizarre decisions.

More versatility and depth especially with TB leaving too.

Burgiel - permanently on the injury list
Witherden - self explanatory, isn't really AFL level any more
Culley - already limited player, his knee injury didn't do any favours in terms of pace and agility either

Yes yes, Ledwards and Rotham may not really be AFL level either but both have shown more glimpses than Burgiel and Culley.

Any love for Sam Weideman? Train as a defender? provides another tall option down back plus could always swing fwd if we run out of talls? 197cm and can read the footy well.

One is slow. One gets injured a lot and other is well witherden (enough said). It ain’t that bizarre.

Rotham is at least same as witherden and edwards….wonder if it has to do with concussion (don’t delisted the concussed guy).

Here is an updated end of 2025 age by position chart. I have made some assumptions that L Edwards and Rotham are delisted and we will need another to go to take 5 picks and the contenders in danger are Culley, Burgiel and Witherden.

Our glaring weakness is that only 24% of our list is in their prime years of 23 to 27. We are OL at the 28 and 29 mark but apart from Ryan, the other 5 are solid role players
Could just about exclude Sheed, on his last legs, which leaves only 2 midfielders between age 21 - 31...ouch!
