Mid way? We were 3rd in line up til an hour before the deadline, where we buckled like a cheap suit and took the deal that we were reported here to have taken 2 days earlier.
Nothing contrived at all about the show on fox though.
I thought the rule stated that you needed to take 2 first round picks in 4 years, otherwise you can't trade a future first rounder.
We took 2 in 2015, so would be fine to trade away the 2019 now- but come next year, unless we trade back into 2019- we won't be able to trade our 2020 pick?
They kinda nailed it for mine. It's not like they aren't getting anything for the guys moving out though, or falling off a cliff anytime soon!
They are moving out high end talent for high picks, replacing the talent on the field with high-picked players (academy+other high former picks), and...
Hawthorn a wizards cause they've been able to sell the rebuild, despite having one of (if not the oldest) list profiles in the league. They certainly have a talent towards attracting excellent players to top up with.
We went what, 9-4 since making the changes that we made with Neeld? That's a pretty huge turnaround, with losses to Richmond x2, Hawthorn and Collingwood. All top 4 teams.
Still have a ways to go, but that's a large turnaround for a team than had just given Carlton a win.
TIL David Jones (retired County Court judge), John Nixon (retired County Court judge) and Wayne Henwood (barrister with Owen Dixon Chambers) were blindfolded Essendon faithful.
Agreed. Everything after 10 is a slight downgrade for the Crows (assuming ladder positions stay the same next year).
So it's 10 and a bit for Gibbs? Well worth it.
