Re: Calling all Lawyers and other knowledgeable folk. Question re strips.
People aren't going to rest until we are wearing pink. But they don't seem to mind Essendon simply widening their sash or Richmond adding a touch of yellow....
Our jumpers don't clash with anyone.
As far as that ladder predictor goes I get:
Geelong
Western Bulldogs
Hawthorn
Sydney
Collingwood
Adelaide
St Kilda
Brisbane
This is only going by who would be considered favourites by current ladder positions though, everyone knows that anything can happen on any given day.
Don't think there was anyone that could have stopped Wells tonight, the bloke was amazing.
Personally I thought our foward structure was one dimensional with Cloke the only target and he was taken well out of it. I dare say we put the ball inside 50 as much as North but never had anyone to go...
That's true but I think it makes getting a finals spot much more coveted, and assures the best teams are playing in september. Look at baseball in the states, only the best 8 teams out of 30 make it to the playoffs.
I distinctly remember him peddling his expanded interchange idea again last week.
Or does the fact he's not "whinging" mean he's "quiet"?
(In my opinion he should worry more about his matchday coaching above anything else)
North creamed us tonight, smashed us in the middle and our defence was as reliable as an ice sculpture in the sun.
I still don't rate them anywhere near the current top four though. Nor do I rate us at that level. We're both also-rans this season.
Make it a final four, all four teams play each other once, home advantage determined by position, top two at the end play off in the grand final. Still four weeks of matches and everyone gets a fair crack. Plus it eliminates the also rans.
As far as I can see he's a kid who won a flag in his first couple of years, so having accomplished that already why continue doing something he clearly doesn't enjoy/isn't fully committed to?
Who are we to tell him that he should play AFL footy?
Muse are good, not best of the decade though.
Don't see why some people insist on comparing Oasis and Muse. That's like comparing a ruckman to a half back flanker imo.
I like Oasis too, so no, I'm not taking a shot at them.
Say what now?
What, like an Essendon supporter going to a Carlton v Collingwood game and spitting at one of the players?
This animal should be banned from all AFL venues for life and On the Couch, Footy Classified and the Herald Sun should all apologise to the Collingwood Cheersquad...
I don't go out of my way to watch games that don't involve Collingwood, and I haven't been to a match as a neutral for more than 4 years. Avoided that tribute match like the plague. I only still go because of an undying love for Collingwood and no other reason.
I've always said we are good without being great, but admittedly I did get a bit carried away after the Geelong win.
The Dogs match on Sunday will be the true indication of where we stand imo.
If seen a St Kilda take a (Collingwood) kid's scarf and throw it from the top teir at the Dome. Still the lowest act I have ever seen at the footy. He had to be escorted away as several Collingwood fans were ready to go him but the rentacops were around, fortunately for him.
If what Swan says is true then that makes me even angrier. How the ____ can we be complacent against Carlton, of all teams?
Pull your heads in, lads.
Personally I think it's more that we are Fevola's bitches, and don't have a single defender who can handle him. Midfielders can get alot of...
I couldn't care less about the AFL as it is now. The only thing keeping me interested is Collingwood. I rarely ever sit down to watch other teams play or pay much attention to the papers.
Having said that, I play local footy when work allows and absolutely love it. But that's because it's...
People won't be happy until one team wears pink and the other yellow.
I was sitting in the back row at the top of the southern stand and had no problems, and never have. So people watching on tv should be fine, right?
Re: This Is Fu**ed!
Carlton are far from a shit team these days.
I understand we're you're coming from but there are many teams worse than Carlton this year.
Umpires didn't have anything to do with it. Softness in midfield and lack of pride in the jumper cost us. How we can go into TWO games against Carlton seemingly without motivation is beyond me. Makes me wonder whether the club and its supporters are on a completely different wavelength when it...
Essendon v West Coast - The Eagles lost by 100 points last time they came to Victoria, and don't underestimate the psychological impact of their capitulation on Saturday - just ask Freo and Port about choking. Essendon should find a win at home.
Fremantle v North Melb - People keep...
