Trying to get tickets for myself and a first timer (future hawks fan) and they’ve sold out already for general public! I’m not currently a member, does anyone know how Tixel is with getting footy tickets? I’ve bought concert tickets off there just fine, but only 1 ticket each time. I’m on the...
McCartin at 1 I thought wasn’t a good idea at the time because he was taking all these marks against other 18 year olds, but he was huge, how was he going to handle the AFL where the KPDs are always as big as you? Plus the diabetes affecting his training. The saints knew all this and were...
Bill Downie makes some great stuff. His 1000 candles range is legendary stuff. One of his more recent offerings, a petit Verdot, is great for the price as well.
I’ve been drinking a lot of Pinot recently, with my favourite being red claw from Mornington. Currently sipping on a bottle of rob hall...
Girl who I see at the gym most days always sets up her mat directly under a cable machine, or right next to the squat rack or leg press, and never, ever uses any of the equipment, but is blocking anyone who might want to use it. She does it every time. She hasn’t interrupted any of my workouts...
I was at the gym late last night, doing some barbell inclines, and in between sets (while I'm still sitting on the bench) this bloke walks up behind me and pulls a plate off the bar and walks off with it. I thought at first he'd just taken it off the rack, couldn't believe he actually did it. he...
started lifting weights seriously in March after doing mainly yoga, bodyweight exercise and cardio for a while. I was bored of my old routine and wanted to bulk up a bit. considering I was sitting at 70kg at 189cm tall, I’d be in danger if a slight breeze came along. I’ve just hit 82kg with...
This from an article in The Age had me cracking up:
https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/hawks-conor-nash-irish-gaelic-football-20180810-p4zwpm.html
He's happy it has, because unlike in Irish sport, where players are banned from drinking alcohol all season, Hawthorn have a more calculated...
Layne Staley probably stands out the most to me, such a unique sound. David Johansen is one I don't see mentioned nearly enough, his stuff with the dolls is awesome, so are his early solo records. Mike Patton has ridiculous versatility, he'd definitely be up there.
Saw a guy yesterday walk over to a plaster wall, throw about 15 limp-wristed punches in to it, then pick up 2kg dumbells and do front raises with the worst form I've ever seen. afterwards he spent a good 20 minutes staring intensely at his phone, occasionally looking up to stare at people.
I used to, it's definitely doable, but I stopped because I felt it was too much strain on the shoulder joint to do both chest and shoulders in one session.
What ever happened to Jonty Scharenberg?? I remember his disposal being a big issue in his draft year. He was supposedly unlucky not getting picked up, then he missed out again last year.
Saw a guy the other day doing arm swings to warm up, but he “accidentally” caught his shirt with his hand on the way through, and stood there looking at his abs for a few seconds. This happened after every set.
"And in this modern day it could be any gender" in response to Waleed Ali's suggestion that a streaker may halt Richmond's momentum. Truly profound, and open minded from our saviour
I'd have to go Boyd even though Patton has shown a lot more.
I don't think McCartin will make it in the modern game with his body type. Boyd hasn't really done much but I've seen good signs as a ruck/forward. My issue with Patton is him doing 2 ACLs. It makes it very tough to reach your full...
This deal has confused the life out of me since it happened. Always thought Mayne was a good role player around 2012-2014, then he dropped off quite a bit. I was shocked they gave him 3 years, just a really poor list management decision
