I've got a little emotional today. As soon as I heard him speak I knew it was a true homecoming for him. The fact that he listed the names of a bunch of old guys that no one else in the world knows of. But they matter to him. For some reason that really resonates with me.
Over the last few...
Very happy with this news. He will be our coach for the next decade at least and return us to the top! As one of the first to suggest him on here I'm all in. All aboard the Noble train!
Simon Lloyd is a new name to the potential list. Obviously more in the admin side now but only completed the level 4 in 2017 so he was thinking of staying coaching not long ago. He is well spoken from the clips I've seen. Also has worked under Lyon so the might fit nicely with the "Sydney style"...
I saw only 2 games at Arden St and was disappointed but I guess it makes sense. Still looking froward to jumping on a tram and being able to watch those 2. The 5:10 game could be difficult playing in to a low sun. Also a small side note, I'm happy that its simply called Arden St oval and not...
I don't post often. But I have had a beer or 2. On the tram home took a look at the final teams. And WTAF. How can those be the changes! How can we just go, business as usual! I have not been on the Brad bandwagon since year 3. And I have no idea why he got an extension. I have followed this...
I'd consider the Mayne trade as detailed in the HS for sure. We must have buckets of cap space. You do the trade then delist and pay him out after one year and take the cap hit all in 2018. Money better spent rather than having Waite go around for a 10 game return next year.
Well we never really have tried it. I'd would have been quite happy to see a heap of players rotated through the inside mid this year to see if one of them stuck. Instead we get our midfield beasts Swallow Ziebell and Cunnington (AKA the meat grinder) and most weeks get roundly smashed in the...
I hope we don't go with Stephenson. I see a guy who is a poor kick. Who can get get a heap of ball on the inside at junior level but won't be able to do that in the AFL due to his frame. That means he is going to play wing/half forward and most outside players at AFL can't get ton of possessions...
That was a really solid win against a good team. The offence had some explosive plays and will only improve if we can get Corey Davis back and playing like he did in week 1. The Defense was solid. It would have been nice if we could of actually got some sack numbers, but against a different QB...
The whole rule could be a whole lot simpler. The ruck nomination thing has been in for 2-3 years now, the AFL introduced it when they wanted ruckman to stand 1m apart because they didn't want them locked up before play. Not that any fans actually cared about it at the time. If it wasn't for...
Can't believe there is no EVW, He didn't have his best game in the final JLT but he was very good in the first 2. Glad to see Mountford in. I think he will become a above average AFL player.
Agree completely. Particularly as height would play a big part in the 20m sprint. Louge ran a 3.03 but personally I those who think he can turn into a midfielder are dreaming.
Neither of them are overly fast (going by the combine times), I can't find the full list but the top ten ends at 2.95. I'm not sure how they do the sprint at the combine. But if its a one chance only thing I guess its possible Florent didn't have a good run or something.
I like Berry as a player, but as with all these guys, we really need to be confident they will become midfielders. At least Berry played some midfield this year.
Ok so here is my random player that I'd love to draft but we're probably not even looking at. When I first read about him I dismissed him as just a medium forward. but then Callum Towmey said people have compared him to Fyfe so I thought I'd watch his tape.
Will Hayward. Obviously he played...
It certainly doesn't look like he has pace to burn, but he looks faster then what we have. I like that he could play round 1. The concern would be that it would just give us more of the same kind. Maybe it will depend on what we think we can get with the later picks. If we like some pacy players...
