I’m looking forward to the next generation when the hyphenated (I call them “2 dads”) breed with each other. Their offspring will have 4 names.[emoji15]

All sound like bad guys in a mediocre Bruce Willis movie. What the hell happened to manly names for footy players in Australia? [emoji15]

Yeah, quite a long time ago but Melbourne delisted a player that had a few injuries and were going to redraft him, but the Tigers jumped in and drafted him first. Can't remember his name but I think he was from the Goulburn Valley, Kyabram or somewhere. And yeah, the Dees weren't too happy if...
Meh :moustache: Points are irrelevant unless you need to bid for players and if you are trying to move up the draft you have to give up more points than you get - otherwise there is no point in the other team doing the trade. Pick 40 was a pick we probably wouldn't have used, so really we've...
So we’ve basically swapped CCj for Tarrant, upgraded pick 72 to pick 19 in the 2022 draft, and jumped a couple of spots in the 3rd round this year. Sound OK [emoji197][emoji3581]

P.s. I didn’t read your whole post but I agree with your key point that winning the first clean possession is more valuable than winning the first possession and that has been one of our strengths.
True to an extent. Our game plan has evolved to suit our strengths. But the whole system/gameplay argument is often used by commentators to underestimate the talent on our list overall and the talent of individuals on our list. Geelong have a strong top dozen or so then fall away. WC bat deeper...
From Knightmare draft arseclown more like it. Green played most of 2020 season in midfield, can go forward to create mismatch as third tall and kick goals or go back. Taller than 192 now and reads the play. Not an accumulator like his brother but taller and stronger overhead. :cool:o_O:D
According to the certified agreement, they would be on a minimum base of $110,000 plus $5,000 per game. I think the base has been reduced for 2020 for all players. I would have been happier if the AFL handed them the 10 games and a decent fine on top, but that isn't what the AFL did.
Yeh I get that. But in the AFLs eyes the club is responsible for the players behaviours and fined the club accordingly. I understand why Benny is frustrated, but I think the club should have accepted that there are some things we haven’t got right as a club this year (which Benny did) and accept...
Benny Gale has been brilliant but he has dropped the ball on this one. Stack and CCJ made a phenomenally bad decision, but the AFL decision was to punish both the players and the club. The club has tried to pass off their penalty on to the players, instead of owning it.
Lynch is also kinda big, but even adding him we seem to more urgently need a development KPF more than anything else, assuming Balta is being developed as a defender. Haven't seen much about CCJ, but I can't see Chol becoming a 50+ goal key forward. :$
Like I said, unless we find a way to add star power. Can't see us adding a big free agent in the next 2-3 years as our salary cap will be stretched. And as goodm as our drafting has been, there are no Cotch or Dusty in there (both top 3 picks). That's the way equalisation is meant to work. Of...
we got maybe 2 or 3 years left at the top of the tree to win premierships then our stars will start to drop off. Those coming behind are a finals team, but lack the star power to be a premiership team unless the club finds a way to add that star power.
Fair call. To me he looked a bit lost in defence, but I get the question mark over whether he has the footy IQ to play on the wing. He has the athleticism, combined with the marking ability to cause headaches for oppo teams. With a bit of aggro he could be the taller, more skilful and more...
