His Carlton contract will make him the highest played player in the history of the AFL. If we were only paying him $500,000 a season on the books and huge wads of cash through VISY I could see your point. The fact is we arent, he is on a monster contract and is paid at market value.

The Kangaroos had an OUTSTANDING season. People are just saying that they played to or above their potential to finish in that spot. No-one actually rates the Kangaroos as a top 4 side, that's why their odds for the 2008 premiership are equal to Carlton's. Back on topic now.
