Past #35: Aaron Black - 50 NM games - 64 goals - traded to Geelong for pick 92 in '16 trade period

Maybe Black can become a defender. Trained to take Grima's role.
  7. C

    Past #2: Brad McKenzie - pick #18 '11 draft - delisted end '16 season - 37 games for NM - Norwood '17

Tackle count can be a bit misleading. Often high tackling & low possession simply means you're second to the ball. Brad to me seems to be more of a high possession, low tackling midfielder.

NORTH'S BEST SIDE SINCE 1976 COMBINED

The fullback line has to be "Henshaw Dench Gumbleton" Henshaw & Gumbleton are hugely underated by the younger folk here. Micky Martin, whilst a favourite of mine, is a full back & unfortunately he is behind Dench in the pecking order.

    Past #6: Lachlan Hansen - pick 3 '06 - 151 NM games - NM life member - thanks Lachie

Nah, sorry. Pick 15 is reserved for McIntosh:)

    Hypothetical: Laidley with this side

Agree, plus Boomer would be retired & Wells would be traded to West Coast for a couple of their slowish WAFL players.

    Changes Vs Port

I'd drop Ziebell before LA on today's performance. Jack has been poor since the Geelong game. At least Liam, has been one of our better players even if he hasn't been as damaging as we would have liked.

    Moved Thread #7: Jack Ziebell [Part I] © -

+1 from me. It's one thing to make your presence felt, it's another thing to redicously get yourself suspended that is costly to the team later. To those that think that he wouldn't have made any difference last night, what a lot of baloney!

    Past #17: Nathan Grima

Oh well, at least he has done the bulk of the pre season. He shouldn't lose too much conditioning in just a few weeks. I hope.

    How good was Sam Kekovich?

And other thing was he wanted his own pic inserted in the photo and the club said no.:D
  23. C

    How good was Sam Kekovich?

That's crap, I was at that game. It was played at Moorabbin, quite a few players had stagefright, and Georgie Young tore us a new a-hole. Keka might have been a bit hot & cold that year but in no way responsible for that loss.
  24. C

    How good was Sam Kekovich?

Talent wise, imo, as good as Carey. But unfortunately he came from a not so professional era and had too many distractions in his life. People forget he suffered a serious knee injury in the 1969? preseason that caused him to miss a season. In those days it was hard to come back from those injuries.

    Shifter's top Thirty

Don't fret, you get the feeling that half the recruiters don't know much either. They just pick what's next on Sheehan's list;)
  26. C

    Whynot Kav?

Simply we went for the best player available who would compliment our list. McKenzie is exactly the type of player we need.

Watched any footy through a T-box?

Have T-box for 3 wks now, and connected to big pond cable. So far it's been good for recording free to air, but cannot record the big pond or foxtel channels. I am trying out Foxtel on T-box, start up package for $10 per month (for 1/2 doz channels) plus entertainment package ($15 per month)...

    Salary Cap management

Are we paying that much of Hale's salary. Or are Hawthorn paying the bulk and North just covering the salary cap space.

Warren And Urquhart Where to now?

Warren might want to try his luck in the draft, depends if he or the club feels if he has a future there. As for Urquhart, his contract status saves him, but he needs to realize that other teams aren't beating down the door for him and this time next year it could be all over for him.
