They weren't runners up last year for no reason.
It was only a matter of time before they came good, not that Im excusing our blue and white witches hats

Who saw what Buddy did to Durdin ? only briefly mentioned late in the piece, and Dermie laughed it off, saying Durdin lowered his height, nothing to worry about
Open hand slap wasnt much in it well from the vision i saw on tv

Yeah i did.
I reckon its not just him, its a functioning transition across the HF line. He makes it happen cos he's good and experienced, but there is no reason having Garner performing well instead wouldn't make things work. Even Maj if he could get it together. Brown get double teamed and impeded non stop.

Wood struggled as well. Hope that.s the end of the Hansen forward experiment.

Sad that Hansen was our most likely forward then. I thought it should have ended at quarter time... not because I don't rate Lachie but it was clear we weren't close to being on top in the middle. I'd have put him back right then.

Game was up for grabs still well into the 3rd! Means alot that a blokes had a quiet half and has come out of the game with a solid day

We were 38 points down 5 minutes into the 3rd and the reason why was Cunnington, Ziebell, Dumont and McDonald got absolutely smashed in the 1st half.

Good-

Turner- only bloke that looked motivated to bring pressure
Taz- solid on buddy all day, considering the supply that went it blanketed him
Cunners- huge load to carry when it's basically 1v3. Kennedy and co would have had 50 each if it wasn't for him
Gibbo- busted a nut all day

The ugly-
Browny, found out again against a number 1 key defender.
Mason wood- really really struggled

Our structure - just dumb. Cut your nose to spite your face shit. Need a second ruck forward but move our chb forward and bring in an extra key defender

Bad omen from the outset when we decided to play a homage video to a guy that tried to sell our club down the creek. Screw Aylett.

Can't decide if I'm happy or not, part of me thinks we're basically no chance anyway this year so the quicker we become mathematically no chance the sooner we can do the experimentation we need.

Really tough to tell who did well forward or back when the midfield just gets obliterated. I thought Mason was awful along with a few others but really... how much opportunity did he really have. Needs to put his body on the line a bit more though.

In all our games to date I have defended out intent, we just lacked in execution. We didn't have intent today, can tell by the amount of uncontested marks we allowed them to accumulate, second to the ball at almost every contest. This is a shit timeslot, we have sucked in every Mother's day twilight game I can bring myself to recall. AFL must giggle their arse off as they put us down on this day every year.

What benefit do we get from playing Hansen forward? Surely playing Pruess in the side and splitting his time between ruck/forward with Goldy is a much better option for his development and the teams than throwing Hansen forward at this stage of his career. Just a dumb selection by the match committee lead by Bon.

I reckon Hansen went forward cause they didn't want to rely on Durdin.

We were crap from the start and it went down hill from there.

After last week they thought it was just going to happen for them.

Sydney showed why they have been good for a long time.

Cunnington, ziebell and dumont

62/1goal

That's the game, they are superior to our midfielders in and out.
That is pretty much it.

Have you seen our possession heatmap - never seen one quite like it from us, lack of possessions in the centre is damning.

Scott: Today was simple, we got obliterated around the ball and then allowed Sydney to control it #aflnorthswans

Scott: We pride ourselves on our ability to win the ball inside but we got badly beaten in there #aflnorthswans

Scott: It was so inconsistent and different to what we've produced this year, even in our (other) losses #aflnorthswans

Scott: It looks like an AC joint (for Simpkin), so we called it pretty early #aflnorthswans

I think a lot of the players are coloured blind to they can't tell the difference between blue and red . **** me how many torn overs . And the in correct disposal where was it . I reckon there were 4to5 in our forward line alone .
