    Bluemour Melting Pot XXVI

if * split with geelong before us, we could offer up pick 9 for Saad and one of those cats picks in return. Then * have effectively downgraded pick 7 or 8 for pick 9 and let geelong get higher in the draft. Alternatively we just offer this year's and next years 2nd rounders.

    Bluemour Melting Pot XXV

Could we bypass the Hawks & Dogs, just split 7 with the Bears or Cats? Send one of those to * for Saad, the other 1st and next years 1st to Dees for Oliver. As you said, add a fringe player like LOB if required to prize out Oliver. I think Nth would accept a late 1st (13-18) this year for...

Yep, I really like that forward balance too. I'm a big fan of Cuners across half forward also. If Gov can get fit/form, he could be a big ace for us moving towards 17 but at the moment has been disappointing. In regards to Levi, it was really noticeable towards the end of the season when he...

I was suggesting around the ground. He can drop in the hole down back, and if rucking against a McIntosh/Dunkley type he can drag them forward and try create a mismatch. Just a thought to avoid us playing both Pit and TDK.

    Bluemour Melting Pot XXV

Could Gov be our answer as a 2nd ruck to backup TDK? I recall him doing a bit in round 1 to give Cas a chop out after Kreuz went down. He has a good leap, it would help get him into games and it would keep both H and Charlie in forward 50.

Yep this works. It would be ideal if GWS have a poor year next year like the Crows have this year bringing their pick into the top 10

    Bluemour Discussion Thread IX

I think could get both if we use our future first. Trade pick 1 and future 1st to GC for picks 2 and 3. Trade pick 3 to GWS for Shiel and their 1st - say pick 16. On trade pick 16 to Crows for McGovern. Use pick 2 on Walsh. We turn our 2 x 1st rounders into Shiel, Walsh and McGovern. Just need...

Analysis 2018 List Management discussion Pt 2

I like the idea of both Rankine and Walsh. Could we deal with GC with picks 1, 27 & our future 1st for picks 2,3 & their future 2nd? That way GC can draft Lukosious to replace Lynch as well as having 2 shots at the 1st round next year & we get 2 players we need plus the extra 2nd next year...

I'm also not keen on only a pick in the 30s for Zach. I would hope we are looking at other deals Geelong are into to maximize our return. Going off some rumours, something like Blues. Out Tuohy p45. In Duggan p38 Cats. Out Vardy p38. In Tuohy p54 Eagles. Out Duggan p54. In Vardy p45 Hopefully...

There was previous word of a possible 3 way including gold coast. Any chance of Gibbs, 24, GC 2017 3rd -> Adelaide 13, Adel 2017 1st, Lyons -> Gold coast Swallow, 8 -> Us. Keep pick 5 leaving 2 x top 10 picks to use on two of Brodie, SPS, Taranto or Ainsworth.:thumbsu:

Maybe a 3-way trade with Lions & Tigers could resolve the trade stand off. I was thinking Rich trade Astbury, Pick 12 - get Yarran, pick 21 Bris trade Mayes, Picks 21, 57 - get Astbury, Bell, Casboult We trade Yarran, Bell, Cas - get Mayes, picks 12, 57.

Hawks have Lake, Gibson, Frawley & Stratton & work well together. As long as Plowman can play on smalls like Stratton can, I can see all 4 working in the one backline.

If Bell is keen to go home, I would like us to have a crack at Brandon Matera. I read somewhere about a month ago that even though he is contracted, the Suns would entertain a trade. Might need to do a swap of 2nd round picks to make it happen. I feel we need a small forward who can be dangerous...

    Mega Thread Trade Targets 2014

This started me thinking of a four team trade, i know will never happen, but I think it isnt too bad. Blues lose pick 7 get Jaksch & Mitchell Syd lose Mitchell & Reid get pick 6 (freeing up salary whilst adding a top youngster) GWS lose picks 4, 19 & Jaksch get Griffen & pick 7 WB lose Griffen...

If Sydney were to get an end of first round pick (say 20-22) for Malceski leaving, and we were to get a 3rd for Waite (44), we could package pick 6 & 44 to Sydney for Mitchell, Membrey & 21? We could then send 21 to GWS for Jaksch whilst keeping our original 2nd & 3rd round picks.

Personally, I have no idea if mid round compensation exists, but did read somewhere about that being possible instead of pick 3. Was just a thought anyway as I rate Trengove as the better target for us out of Grimes, Toumpas & Watts being the other Dees thrown up as bait.

If the Dees get pick 11 for Frawley, We could offer pick 6 for 11 & Jack Trengove (if as rumoured to be on the table are true). Only just turned 23, former pick 2 & captain. With Andy Walker being thrown up in possible trade scenarios to get Boyd, I was thinking it would be difficult to get Tex to agree to go to GWS. Hi all, first time poster - long time reader. Should we be looking at Tyson? Has he indicated that he wants to leave GWS like Caddy last year at GC? Would Warnock & Pick 11 for Tyson & Pick 20 get this done?
