I'm not out here saying we shouldn't expand because we've got struggling clubs
These 11 posters want to join the OOB and play together.
I'm not necessarily advocating for disbanding an existing team, but I'm an advocate for expansion because I think it's the best thing for the league to have this collection of players actively engaged and posting in the league.
Telling them to play elsewhere won't work and will possibly lead to the league losing some of its greatest contributors.
Definitely not the Bombers Ned, they have the best posting list in the league, as I've regularly been told.Just a point on the Old Boys destroying clubs. Who?
From most clubs we are taking one or zero posters. If a club is going to be destroyed by losing one player, it's got bigger issues than the Old Boys.
Bombers are the good guys of the leagueRobR is on the record showing his support.
From an outside perspective I can see that the OOB have collected a squad of some of the very best posters in the SFA-- however many of them for one reason or another are less engaged with the SFA than they were in previous seasons.
In my opinion I think this expansion club will benefit the SFA by giving new motivation for the likes of haydo , TheCoach16, Ned_Flanders & The Jesus to return to their posting best. The league will be a better place if some of the veterans of the league are given a new challenge to guide a new club.
I've heard you never turn down a byeNope. Not at all, what I am getting frustrated with, is whenever a question is tabled it is shot down fairly defensively. I'll tell you right now I am NOT keen on a bye round.
Why don't you post like this all the time you reprobate?
Who hacked your account?
Why stop at how will expansion benefit the SFA Crushy?I don't think they read that far into it TBH. What appears to have happened is Turbo had an idea to create a brand, this received a bit of groundswell of support, which is completely understandable, however, the question of "How will this benefit the SFA" needs to be addressed.
To this point, it has not.
Always thought you would been more of an Ernie man.
Me personally? By being unwelcoming and driving posters to other clubs of course! No I was asking how you personally have helped
Also, what exactly ARE you trying to say without involving the Bombers every post lol
Why stop at how will expansion benefit the SFA Crushy?
If your serious and concerned about the welfare of the SFA answer these as well;
how do struggling teams benefit the SFA, how do people who implode and burn their accounts benefit the SFA, how do members of qooty teams who don't post in match threads benefit the SFA, how do people who spam threads benefit the SFA, how do posters who join a team and then bail out to another team mid season benefit the SFA, how do posters who keep changing their avatar and name benefit the SFA, how does having NaturalDisaster as admin benefit the SFA, how does players who retire and join expansion teams benefit the SFA, how does hitting the ban button benefit the SFA, the list is endlesssssss

That is mainly true although Tigerturbulance and his hangers on played a significant part.Driving players out of the league has never been an issue for the bombers
Didn’t your team relentlessly push aceandy to the point where he chucked it in?
Nope. Not at all, what I am getting frustrated with, is whenever a question is tabled it is shot down fairly defensively. I'll tell you right now I am NOT keen on a bye round.
No mate, some people just have their own opinion.
Still haven’t seen a compelling reason for the proposed expansion.
The bid itself is apparently more substantial than most have been in previous years I have been told, this doesn’t actually make a good case for expansion, only for this bid.
Why are you so afraid of answering questions about the bid? Is it because it is currently nothing more than a few token promises to join a non-existent club?
The one thing “going for it” is a misogynistic marketing slogan designed to attract a certain type of poster … that might just work.
Be careful what you wish for.

You're also mixing in some of the currently MOST engaged members of the comp. From an outside perspective I can see that the OOB have collected a squad of some of the very best posters in the SFA-- however many of them for one reason or another are less engaged with the SFA than they were in previous seasons.

You didn't need to quote me, I've already said i support the new team. You already complain about "bye" rounds, yes? Oh, this team doesn't banter, that team doesn't banter....
What you have here with the new bid is a guaranteed super active week.
A compelling reason?
So, the main issues last time were:
Posters not good enough/bids too weak - has this been addressed? Why yes, yes it has. Comfortably.
What about the weak clubs? The weak clubs, think of the weak clubs. Ok, on this, point me to a time there were no weak clubs? Any time, any season? You can't. Even after the 2 failed bids last time which saw an influx of quality, the same number of teams stayed weak. They always will. You could put off expansion for 20 seasons, and there will be strong teams, and weak teams. No expansion? Weak teams. Expansion? Weak teams.
It has been very carefully addressed and constructed that weak teams were not approached/attacked (we'll leave that to others). It was actually important to the bid that the talent was not taken from some areas, and never too much from any.
Reasons FOR expansion. There's firstly, an increase in banter. Levels are up because of the new entity. The match thread experience will improve, because for all the reasons you want to try and knock the bid, the core is strong, and the team will be a quality opponent. So that's one less dead week, and the quality offsets the bye I believe.
Also, new posters. We saw with the 2 failed bids last time that there were a lot of rookies/posters who have stuck around and enriched the league. Well, you get another big influx with the bid. This has more than one impact. Firstly, it's new blood to interact with. Also, it increases the pool of players. We know player movement is ongoing. So there is no way every one will stay with the new bid, it never works like that. So these "struggling" clubs will have a bigger pool of players from which to recruit. The new bid will also be recruiting ongoing, bringing MORE people into the league.
If we look at RL, just to make a comparison, does anyone want to argue that the VFL expanding and including teams like WC, Freo, Port, Adelaide etc has been a bad thing? No, it has enriched the competition. New storylines, new rivalries. The same will happen here.
Does anyone seriously want to go back to the 12 team VFL? Hell, I don't. We're not talking of an unbalanced, too speedy expansion here. It's one side.
There will be more media, which in turn means more engagement again. Naturally most teams produce some level of media through their posters, and the new team would have a couple of posters renowned for it. Again, adding to, not taking away.
So, the Bombers, they're after more activity yeah? Well, this new bid provides it in spades.
