Shoulders look really broad and has long arms like a Fletcher , I know it sounds silly as they are sitting but doesnt look like a 183cm player

Yeah endurance isn't the issue. Needs to improve his production, and hardness at the contest (which his increased size can only help). From memory Ralphsmith already had pretty good endurance pre draft didn't he?
I really dont think it was hardness at the contest with Hugo but more inexperience and not wanting to stuff it up , With another 50 games i think he will be a weapon playing wing/HfYeah endurance isn't the issue. his forearm is covering it so very difficult to judge. Will take your word for it thoughHow big does Dow look ,
And here i was thinking you are the expert in these thingshis forearm is covering it so very difficult to judge. Will take your word for it though
Cumberland-Said many times he's a Caddy cloneI've my money on Cumberland.... as long as he signs the contract.
Except that Caddy is slow and Cumberland very quick.Cumberland-Said many times he's a Caddy clone
Ralph-Has AFL wing written all over him.Keith Grieg comes to mind
Sampson-forget his 1st game.Wasn't entirely ready.
Dow-Has the Pendleburys about him.
Those are the 4 kids who i think will make a solid career at AFL level.
As I watch some 2017 finals. Caddy up fwd worked well. I hope caddy is going to be played up fwd next year. Or wtf did we not trade him.Except that Caddy is slow and Cumberland very quick.
Keith Greig, that's a big call, probably the most elegant player ever to pull on boots.
Pendelbury wow.
Agree on Sampson.
As I was saying, just watching 2017 final vs Geelong. My god, Prestia played well. If he and Lambert get injured, all our depth get more of a runCumberland-Said many times he's a Caddy clone

Maybe nobody wanted Caddy. 2017 was 4 seasons ago, that's a long time. Speed does count, especially if you have other traits as Cumberland looks to have, aggression, agility and willing to go for his marks. Reckon he will really surprise this season and is my no.1 roughy to get a regular gig.As I watch some 2017 finals. Caddy up fwd worked well. I hope caddy is going to be played up fwd next year. The whole discussion of the value of the speed of a player may be overrated. Markov was the fastest but couldn't really use his maximum speed in a game. It wasn't enough to keep him at richmond. Balta much the same. George is faster than caddy but it didn't translate to automatic wins of games of football.
Caddy has been wing since 2019. Id rather he played forward and Ralph Smith on the wing.
I hope we ditch the defensive forward role. Or limit it to one player. I guess forward line is Teagues forte. Be interesting to see how we select.
That goes for the draft too. Mac Andrew? Another 200cm player. With Nank and Lynch that exact height. Or a JR type
I think we didn't trade him cause there's no interest. He's at his 3rd club and still doesn't have an obvious AFL position. As I watch some 2017 finals. Caddy up fwd worked well. I hope caddy is going to be played up fwd next year. Or wtf did we not trade him.

Not saying they're going to get upto the level of Grieg & Pendlebury but they have similar traits.Except that Caddy is slow and Cumberland very quick.

File away under...another 'Towna" clone...thank you for your service...next!I think we didn't trade him cause there's no interest. He's at his 3rd club and still doesn't have an obvious AFL position.
If O'Brien and brander can contracts I'm sure we could have found a club for caddy to take some of his wage.Maybe nobody wanted Caddy. 2017 was 4 seasons ago, that's a long time. Delist him... free up a spot?I think we didn't trade him cause there's no interest. He's at his 3rd club and still doesn't have an obvious AFL position.
If he’s contracted he needs to agree to be delisted unless he has done something to warrant termination of his contract , likewise with a trade you can’t just trade a contracted player if they don’t want to leaveDelist him... free up a spot?
Got me perplexed as to why not. Free up a spot for Cumberland. And free up the salary next year.
List management 101.
Thanks for clarifying that. Holy hesus, tell him he is going to get paid in full but not be going to get a senior game.If he’s contracted he needs to agree to be delisted unless he has done something to warrant termination of his contract , likewise with a trade you can’t just trade a contracted player if they don’t want to leave
Caddy would make good injury depth for the tall fwds but he hasn't been used in the fwd line since Lynch arrived. Won the 2019 flag on the wing and that's where he's been played since. Even this year. And to compare wing outputs Caddy gets the ball more than Kmac and Pickett. Kmac probably runs twice as fast as Caddy and for twice as long. But what's the point.Caddy is contracted for another year and would be silly to delist him and pay him out when we have very little foward cover
If Jack pr Lynch gets injured and no CJ/Chol Caddy atleast has the ability to create a contest and kick goals
We are paying for him so why delist him

He can work on his gym, play suburban footy. Win, win, win.

Please elaborate. Simply less mid time for Bolton?Dow this coming season and what it might mean for Bolton could be fascinating!

A bit ludicrous to say Cumberland will be better than Caddy if he stays. He's been injured practically his first year and interrupted season this year. Apart from the pies reserves game he hasn't shown alot. Personally I'd rather caddy not play if it's on a wing. I think the Tiges have got to start shying away from kids from Queensland as the standard is bloody ordinary so it's hard to judge how good they really are. That happens to plenty of blokes -can assure you. They are told they have played their last senior game and they are on such good money that they hang in there fulfilling their contract. Would you? Maybe, if it was 250K PLUS and nothing sorted yet outside of footy you might. It is a very nuanced situation for all. Simple enough for the footy fan (just fcuk him off they yell) but there are a lot of boxes to tick these days.
Caddy may not play another senior game. He may have fallen out, he may be struggling with form, injury, personally, may even have other intrinsic values within - bottom line is his contract is there for a reason.
Pretty brave prognostication. Part of me wants Sampson to be a success but I just cannot see it - he was OK at Sherwood but not really as dominant as you would like for this next step to be a real chance.
Frankly I think Caddy became damaged goods - he was Pick7 for a reason and could have been quite a devastating player (was still pretty good as a Premiership player). To underline this Essendon tried to poach him after his first season, North, Saints and Cats after his second. If Cumberland can stay within the Richmond system he will be better than Caddy.
Don't mind your call on Hugo, there are some traits, but gee he has a way to go.
