Think Scott said something about wanting to play him in different roles to find out what works.

Which is fair enough - he’s pretty unique, not like he is clearly one thing or another. You want to see what else he can do before taking the easy option and sending him back (easy because we pretty much know he can do it).

Sounds like he needs to harden up and just get on with it.

I think this approach is silly.

Just develop a player in the place they are most likely to find success. Then when they can do that try them in a secondary role that might have a bigger impact.

Bit soon to go down that road. In fact why would you. We may as well run the course and if he is a dud then move on. A middle range pick in this draft is not buying you a lot. Only way I move him on is if someone comes knocking with a top 10 pick but even then the tall quality of this draft has some questions.

I mean after Cox, how many picks do you look at and have instant regret for not taking? Holmes, Gulden (albeit an Academy pick so probably never ours), McCreery? A diluted draft impacted by covid restrictions
