One reason I come to this thread, well played

The difference is the tracking saying Stokes delivery was going to travel level from the impact point into the stumps which didnt visually appear right with where and how Smith was hit.

The ball hit Smith on his pad and Hawkeye showed it hitting the top of the wickets. He'd have to be wearing giant pads for the ball to have stayed level between those points.

I looked it up. Most stumpings in an Test match is 6. Most in an innings is 4. Notably by Bert Oldfield in '25. Keeping up to the stumps to the opening bowlers, he stumped Jack Hobbs down the leg side to begin the match.

Must have been a hell of a keeper...

Bloody loved that session...absolutely no luck though...the Lyon LBW shout on Stokes looked plumb, and you wouldn't complain if you were Bairstow given out to Boland. Excellent session...knock over Stokes and it's game on
Fair to say the umpiring has been ordinary with their decisons in the test thus far..!
For mine, the Stokes LBW was OUT, somehow given not out on review and Bairstow's LBW which was given OUT was then overturned on review...

Blackham must have been a hell of a keeper. Standing up to the stumps to every style of bowler. On all those rough, uncovered pitches.

I think they used to employ a 'long stop' back then though.

Australia invented "bazball" decades ago with Dean Jones and Gilly.
Tony Greig would like to have a chat with you about lil' Kalu.
