The difference is the tracking saying Stokes delivery was going to travel level from the impact point into the stumps which didnt visually appear right with where and how Smith was hit.
There is no swing in the blue line, it's completely straight. Hawkeye doesn't predict swing.

I'm 99% sure they will come out after lunch and try smack the bowling from ball one to get up to 200 rather than let the bowlers settle. It will either work or cheap wickets come early.

Not sure how you can say that, they put on 130 runs. Another session like that and we can't win.

They took a LIFETIME to replay the ball tracking.
The ball hit Smith on his pad and Hawkeye showed it hitting the top of the wickets. He'd have to be wearing giant pads for the ball to have stayed level between those points.

Certainly post-drinks, 3/129 for the session is pretty even, when the three out includes Root and are all batsmen.
I looked it up. Most stumpings in an Test match is 6. Most in an innings is 4. Notably by Bert Oldfield in '25. Keeping up to the stumps to the opening bowlers, he stumped Jack Hobbs down the leg side to begin the match.

Bairstow hard to get out when he’s batting 2 gut lengths outside his crease
Fair to say the umpiring has been ordinary with their decisons in the test thus far..!
For mine, the Stokes LBW was OUT, somehow given not out on review and Bairstow's LBW which was given OUT was then overturned on review...

Runs are irrelevant with Bazball. They will score quick but lose wickets regularly. We are one of two breakthroughs away from rolling them with a lead of 220
