The problem with losing tests like this is that it makes the last five days feel like a waste of time watching. Five tests in six weeks is knackering for the fans, never mind the players!

We really should be winning this, not just from this position but could’ve done a lot better this test.
I don’t rate them at all. Ali no, Anderson is cooked, Robbo isn’t much. Broad has taken a lot on. The pitch isn’t that difficult.
Now if there is a couple of good balls early on they can win with our long tail.
I feel as the series goes on we will settle and improve, but winning this test won’t be our greatest achievement. In fact if we lose, it would be a great disappointment. They just aren’t that good.

To be fair, if Bairstow takes the stumping of Green and catch of Carey which any keeper in world cricket would've taken they'd probably have had a 100 run first innings lead. Not withstanding their, lets say, bold declaration leaving a lot of runs out there.

I've always found that too...Technically the last hour starts at 6pm, but it's usually all about the over count late on the 5th day.
