Maybe people’s leave started from today? Why'd they all plan for a big Monday but none show up on the weekend?!

I think that is pretty generous, they dug in but they got thumped for 500 in the first innings and never looked like getting close to that when batting. After the new ball in the second innings Australia cruised for the most part and ended up blowing through them in what like a session and a half?I actually thought Pakistan were pretty competitive.
Other than their 2nd inns collapse when it was hard to bat they bowled quite well but just couldn't back it up.

Even just getting one test before Christmas sucks, i don't want to wait until boxing day for test cricket to start.I think the bbl (all night games other than perth) should be all pre xmas. And the tests series all from boxing day onwards.
Make it day night thenEven just getting one test before Christmas sucks, i don't want to wait until boxing day for test cricket to start.
Unlucky for WA fans and the WACA. Would have been a huge boost to crowd numbers.
Oh, so fixturing plays a role in how many people attend?Friday will be good. Lots of sports clubs going and many corporate facilities are selling well. Opening day should be good but I do worry about the Thursday
I think Australia capitalised on their poor sessions very well, and Cummins in particular bowled extremely well in the second dig. I think they’ll be able to take some positives from that, and I personally agree they weren’t terrible, just outclassed when it matteredI think that is pretty generous, they dug in but they got thumped for 500 in the first innings and never looked like getting close to that when batting. Almost like it went for 3 days before thatDid you see the end of the game? Was as dog s**t boring a game as expected
Of course fixturing plays a part but Perth copped a beauty and we copped a shit sandwich and will still probably get more through the gate than Perth.Oh, so fixturing plays a role in how many people attend?
And here I am thinking that Adelaide people just love test cricket more than anyone else.

We'd get more if it started on Thursday (or even better on the Friday).I reckon we will get 20-25k on Wednesday, low 20k on Thursday and push high 20k on Friday. Who knows if we get to the weekend or not but expect us to exceed Perth’s crowds by day 3
Might be over by Friday.......Friday will be good. Lots of sports clubs going and many corporate facilities are selling well. Opening day should be good but I do worry about the Thursday
People will still turn up though, it's an event and it's that sort of culture that they need to create in Perth for their Test. How is the more difficult question. No one wants the same opposition two years in a row it's not that fukcin' hard.

Blaming Perth crowds on scheduling is pretty weak.
Day 4 is comparable, before considering WI were already 4 down heading in, whereas the other 2 matches had a lot more to play out (plus yesterday had the lure of Lyon creating history).
AO has the set that go every year to get plastered out the back and never see a ball bowled I guess that's part of it, hard to replicate at the more closed in concrete bowl stadiums.People will still turn up though, it's an event and it's that sort of culture that they need to create in Perth for their Test. I think the effort was mostly there throughout the game, but I wouldn't say they bowled well. The best 3 fast bowlers in the match were Australian. The difference in class was there to see.I actually thought Pakistan were pretty competitive.
Other than their 2nd inns collapse when it was hard to bat they bowled quite well but just couldn't back it up.

We should appreciate how lucky we are really, an AO membership costs about the same as a premium ticket for one day at Lords.AO has the set that go every year to get plastered out the back and never see a ball bowled I guess that's part of it, hard to replicate at the more closed in concrete bowl stadiums.
Yep the members is the best set-up in Australian sport unless you manage to get a top tier MCC ticket.AO has the set that go every year to get plastered out the back and never see a ball bowled I guess that's part of it, hard to replicate at the more closed in concrete bowl stadiums.
The 5-10k out in the Pimms tent that don’t see a ball bowled all day.Yep the members is the best set-up in Australian sport unless you manage to get a top tier MCC ticket.
Our crowds will always be strong but don't audit who's actually watching. That number won't look good!
