Reckon you’d have a hard time getting numbers to Melbourne or Sydney in this time slot too. Helps a fair bit when you get the two weeks literally no one in the country is working or at school

Criticism of him is absolutely fair here. To his credit his last 2 overs are much better.

Again, he’s 23. It’s not going to always happen and he found the edge 3 times in his first 2 overs. No doubt he’s bowled some garbage but he’s not going to be at his peak every time he bowls

Last Pakistan match at Adelaide Oval was in 2019, Weekday start, not in school holidays, and they got 34,000 day 1

Reckon if we had one in melb in mid December it would be a day-nighter. In which case 45k+ would be in play. Decent sized Pakistani population here now as well which would help.

I dunno, viv richards was dropped 8 times on the way to 208 at the MCG, that was a pretty woeful innings despite the commentators creaming themselves over it. I saw that one live.

Ahhh..I remember that summer of cricket..I think we dropped about 60 catches.

There has been some good balls that could easily have taken some wickets. Especially as there's been about 3 edges over the slips and a few rippers just nicking Khawajas pads.

They could have taken 2 or 3 wickets in that hour.

Never said he needed to. But he needed to this time, and when you're hyped as one of the best bowlers in the world you get the criticism that goes along with it.
