TAYLOR Adams' strong month of form for Greater Western Sydney won't push him to make a decision on his future, with the midfielder attracting significant attention from Victorian clubs.

The 19-year-old is out of contract at the end of this season and the former Geelong Falcons onballer is in no rush to make a call on where he will play his football next season.

Adams, who was drafted with pick 13 at the 2011 NAB AFL Draft, has been perhaps the Giants' best player over the past four weeks, averaging 25 disposals.

While the Giants are keen to retain Adams, he has been focused on playing well before stepping up contract talks. Almost all Victorian clubs have expressed their interest in securing him if he chooses to entertain offers from his home state.

I would happily choose to part with a first rounder for Admas, especially if a pick upgrade of 2nd round picks was included. Even if it wasn't, I'd love to get Adams to the Saints

A pick as high as 4 or 5? That seems like a massive investment

Get excited boys, we will have oodles of cash as our old blokes retire, great facilities and a young list where these types will want to come to build towards a flag on really good coin.

As an aside, if we don't get Boyd, give me Josh Kelly please and Taylor Adams.
hmmm...Dunstan (for example) would be ready to play next season. Kelly would need 2 pre-seasons to get his body to AFL standard. Can we afford the wait?
I agree with Adams...we just need to see if he wants to leave GWS, and if he wants to come to the saints

Time is something we have...We aren't challenging for at least another three seasons IMO.

We need a big-bodied mid anyway though
For those that keep if with this stuff, which AFL player would Dunstan be comparable to?
Dusty would be fairly comparable IMO...except Dunstan is rated highly as a leader (which Dusty is not)

Only thing i hate about that is he is from Adelaide.... Home sickness would suck if we got him with first round pick and he decided to want a trade home. But i guess all don't get home sickness.

Josh Kelly would be a wonderful selection and he's a gun but how would we get Adams and Kelly?

A Half Back Pocket mentioned he's being compared to Dustin Martin, on the BF Phantom Board anyway.

Whilst we need a big bodied inside mid I reckon we also need some outside class. Turnovers over the past few seasons have been killing us and with Dal Santo on the decline and Goddard gone we really lack that outside class.

I like the look of Sheed. He looks to be that all rounder who has an inside and outside game. He's probably the Jimmy Toumpas of last years draft. Kelly and Billings would certainly bring high level skills to the table and Crouch looks to play a similar game to Ollie Wines. Definitely some good mids this year.

Just noticed that both GWS & GCS have recently secured the services of their developing long-term key defenders in Sam Frost & Henry Schade until the end of 2015-16... :(

Both would have been worth pursuing as they are both 195cm & around 90kg (only 19-20 yrs old too)...

Might be worth a look again come 2015 :thumbsu:

Give me Josh Kelly anyday. Also another player to look at for our second round pick assuming we don't trade it for a Mitch Brown or someone is Nathan Freeman (Sandy Dragons player), tested as the number 1 player athletically for age group i think it was for under 16's that year however he is around that 185cm/85kg mark. Has some really good foot skills and pace i think we can use on the outside not entirely sure about inside game but I am pretty sure that it is up to the standard.

Adams is out of contract end of season so Saints wouldn't have to pay over for him. Something like Gilbert plus 2nd or even 3rd round draft would probably get the deal done. Heard some GWS supporters saying Adams for Sammy Fisher straight swap. Hope Saint Kilda can land this superstar

Highly, highly doubt it. A lot of other Vic clubs would offer better deals.

We'll have give up a fair bit for him. GWS will have first pick in all drafts so can just pick him up again! I'd drive Fisher to airport myself if we got Adams for him!!

If GWS are a half decent club they'll get a deal done for Adams if wants to leave. They wouldn't pick him up again in the draft if he didn't want to play for them!
