With Fisher and Dempster coming towards an end and Bruce being mooted as a FWD, I'd say that bringing in a tall defender through this draft would be ideal. The potential GWS trade gives us that opportunity.

GWS is not like any other club. They are like the rich kid who has been given every advantage if like and has no idea of the value of money. Draft picks mean nothing to them. They see something they like, they want it, they will pay for it.

I think you are being extremely optimistic and that there is some collective masturbation going on here. No club gives away 3 top 10 picks on a whim. They will offer 4 and 7 for 1. I don't think they will effectively throw in 6 for 21.

GWS are clearly don't value draft picks as much as other clubs. 21 for Patful. Offered 4 + extras for Griffen. All the indications are that they want pick 1 and that they will do whatever they can to get it.

1 and 22 for 4,6,7 isn't horribly lopsided when you factor in all that.

Pick 1 for picks 4 and 6
Pick 1, 21, 22 for picks 4,6,7

If we are not happy with either of those we will keep pick 1 IMO

Our current fourth pick is 40, so that's what we'll using as it stands.
I think we would comfortably give-up 1, 21 & 22 for 4, 6 & 7.
