I actually don't mind either of those players and I would be happy enough to see them in Navy Blue but I am not convinced that either are a great fit for Carlton at the moment.
Both are fringe players at Geelong and whilst they may be more than that at Carlton, even with that first pick included I don't see us giving two top 5 players for them.

So it would be another first rounder and then they probably become a moot point. This takes me to another question I had about your rebuild. Are you just after sexy picks or also good players like the aforementioned to make you a better side in the meantime?

For Hendo and Menzel we will need a young gun, something along the lines of a Caddy, Blicavs, Guthrie......how do you feel about that?
I think a r1 pick and a r2 pick for hendo and menzel might get it done tbh.
Hendo should be worth a early 1st pick, but based on hes performance over the past 2-3 years id say hes worth around a early 2nd round pick. I really don't rate hendo at all tbh. I'd actually be shocked to be sitting here if Geelong offer their first round pick for him.
Menzel looks good, but not worth a 1st round pick in my opinion. He has potential to be a star, and probably will become one. Based on hes performance id say hes worth an early 2nd round pick. He is still young and improving though, so I wouldn't give him away for a 2nd round pick, id rather take the risk and hope he becomes a very good player. Carlton will not give him up for a 2nd rounder though. They will want a 1st rounder or a 2nd round + something else.

Personally I'd look at Geelong's first rounder, another late first rounder if they can secure one for Motlop and Kersten. The Cats would love to get the Menzel boys together.
If they secure a higher first rounder for Motlop, cancel Kersten, although maybe we'd still look at him for a 3rd rounder.

I like the idea, but just not sure the players we get back are suited for what we need at the moment.
If I were at the Carlton table during negotiations, I would say that was a nice offer, but we would want Kersten and Guthrie instead, plus we will send back a pick in the early 30s.

Menzel and Hendo for Geelong's first rounder and next year's first rounder.
I want it to happen just so I can watch it unfold.
Could massively improve Geelong's structure and provide a ready-made replacement for Stevie J, and see them super-competitive next year, thereby ruining the pick we get in 2016.
Could also be a poor fit or they could take a while to find their feet, Cats slip down a bit, the pick we get improves.

Would be happy with lennon for Yaz, pick 12 for Hendo, pick 16 and a swap of our 3rd for geelongs 2nd for Menzel.

1st round pick, Kolodjashnij, Lang and either Jansen or Bates for Henderson and Menzel.
I think we should trade out all our young talent, especially the last barrel scrapings of our forward line, for Geelong discards, please.
Would do Henderson and Menzel for Kolodjashnij and your first round pick (Pick 11).
Would push for exchange of picks as well, our Pick 38 for Geelongs Pick 29.

If Port are stupid enough to trade Lobbe out to fit in Dixon, I say we get on the blower to Kenny right now,offer our 2nd rounder and a sweetner like Walker for Lobbe.
Would be an horrendous list and cultural misstep by Port to sacrifice Lobbe for Dixon.
Lobbe just strikes me as a heart and Soul Port Player, would be a lot of pissed off Port players and fans if he was traded,but would love him in Navy Blue
