I think it is time to just go the PSD route. Stuff all this nonsense.

If we are getting him for free from a pick perspective, let's throw a bit more coin at him front loaded to destroy any other bids. Jakey likes money, it is time to show him even more money and have him agree not to go anywhere else. If we can get him to agree to this, we either land him without using any picks or we except that somebody else gets him but has to pay a truckload of cash to do it. Bearing in mind we have more cap than everybody else, it is going to put another team in a tough spot list management wise.

It would take a very big back flip from JC for this to occur.... the fact that he actually mentioned that he would have looked at Hawthorn if he was 28-29 spelled out pretty clearly that he was keen to build something with us.
