No ...given Menzel, Milera, Hampton come thru

Honestly, i'm most excited by Greenwood, simply because he has a dramatic change to our midfield look .....192cm and 90 kg's ....that's a big midfielder!
Great hands ..real thinker, i liked how he was looking to get little kicks out into the open on the weekend, rather than handball in close ......good high mark, which you know i like

I am happy then to just sit and wait for Jake Stringer
I agree with you on Greenwood. Has had a really good first year.
I want to see him get a taste next year.

I'll have some information to get you all interested soon. Have to wait until the season concludes most likely. Until then just to get the kettle boiling. There are 3 priority targets. 2 have been mentioned previous and one hasn't been mentioned once!
I'm guessing Fyfe is one, going by your previous likes?

Who knows with the others

I think we'd only be looking at players out of contract at the end of next year. Here's a list of targets
  1. Tom Rockliff
  2. Josh Kelly
  3. Nat Fyfe (very unlikely)
  4. Jack Martin
  5. David Swallow (very unlikely)
  6. Dylan Shiel (very unlikely)
  7. Stephen Coniglio
  8. Devon Smith
  9. Dustin Martin
  10. Luke Dunstan
  11. Josh Kennedy (Syd) (very unlikely)
  12. Marcus Bontempelli (very unlikely)
  13. Dom Sheed
  14. Stephen Motlop

Then we are simply wasting our time. We are not getting Fyfe

If Fyfe was going to leave Fremantle... why wouldn't we be in the running for him?

Out of the clubs that have a good shot at offering him a premiership in the next couple of years we're probably the ones with the most salary cap space available.

Now I don't think he will leave Fremantle... but if he is I think we'd be in with a shot.

He's not leaving Fremantle

On that we agree. But you're the one always having a go at me for not having faith in the club... so will you agree with me that IF on the 1% chance he does consider leaving we'd be in with a real shot at luring him?

Alex. I luv ya. But can we just dream a little?

Of course we're not getting any of those players, just like we never got anyone last year, or the year before that. Just like Danger was never staying. But it was nice to dream that it was going to happen, even if it was pie in the sky stuff.

I'm pretty sure 90% are aware of the reality, however it's nice to dream a little and hypothesise about what could be without the naysayers coming in with the FFS you're all stupid, as if any of this is happening.

All I'm asking is to afford those posters who want to get carried away in the offseason and dream the impossible dream the time and space to do so, without being chastised by those who think redhorse is full of shit.

Anyway, I hope you take this post in the spirit in which its meant.

Exactly, we're all here to theorize, to debate, to pretend we can influence the fate of the club we all love so much.

The club will do what it does regardless of what any of us think, but it's nice to dream and to hope because that is the nature of passion.

Are you able to narrow it down to player positions? Or some really cryptic clues that will all become obvious after the fact.

Or can you just PM me with the names. That'll probably be much easier for everyone involved. :)

I dream of becoming a billionaire and getting married toi Meranda Kerr. I'm just wasting my time.

Maybe we should dream of something realistic, like getting a Bryce Gibbs or Hamish Hartlett.

No, it's not even 1 %.

Fyfe is not from Adelaide or even SA.

We don't have a strong history of picking up key recruits. Darren Jarman, Wayne Carey and Eddie Betts in 26 years are our key trades (A Graders and Fyfe is an A grader)

We don't have the salary cap space.
We don't have the trade commodities to trade with Fremantle. Would you give up Sloane?

1% - not going to even consider it that high.

Don't worry champ. You are only fooling yourself if you believe that.

Uhh... what?

So I shouldn't believe you are entitled to your own opinion? I honestly don't even know what you're talking about at this point.

Were Carlton wasting their time on Judd? Swans on Franklin? Good Coast on Ablett?

The fact is the best players move clubs for whatever reason. There's no precedence that suggests the best players don't move clubs. In fact, recent history shows the best players do leave clubs.

Is this for real?

Are you really saying we will get Fyfe?

Why didn't you answer the previous post? Instead just jump straight to the argument.

Because, as mentioned, you are entitled to your opinion.

I've said everything I have to say on the topic and I know better than to try and persuade you to change your mind. There was nothing more productive left to say.

Nice avoidance though.
