Yes he is. He's just playing in the TAC Cup as a 19 year old.Is he still a father -son selection next year?

Half decent key position players at our club should not be traded under any circumstances at present . If a club has a strong spine with depth in key positions OK but we don't and haven't for years which has been a huge problem so we shouldn't be giving them away . Gibbs maybe or any other midfielder but key position bad move I feel .
hat do you man?Can you see how you've infected other posters HBF?
We are light years away from winning a flag that discussion shouldn't even be entered into right now it's about being competitive and building a good culture in the playing group . Offloading key position players with talent is not a good policy I believe . As they are much harder to replace good ones that is than midfielders flankers etc..Half decent won win you a flag.

I think if he's AFL fit, he's worthwhile playing this year so we can see where he is at, but not a lock-in best 22 player. It's hard to see who makes way for him to play and he might have to wait for an injury, form slump or resting player to get his first gig.RE: Sheehan
If he's AFL fit, he's AFL capable; it's that simple.
It's more along the lines of someone would push up from defence and a fringe player sacrificed. My pick to push into midfield would be Docherty.I think if he's AFL fit, he's worthwhile playing this year so we can see where he is at, but not a lock-in best 22 player. Having said all that, Murphy's Law demands that the Irishman be picked round 1 to make me look the fool!

Byrne may be the more secure bet but what people forget is just how disciplined, strong and quick Sheehan is.
What impressed me most in his first year playing VFL, was just how close he was able to stick to his opponent.............for the whole match.
He'll make for a good player, alright. Just needs to get back to full fitness and get a good run at things.
And some won't get that writing him off needlessly makes no sense either. Some people on here just won't get that..

I think our expectations of Sheehan need to be lowered...after all he is almost 26 and still on the rookie list with only a few games to his name...
Odds are against him, no doubt. He is a rookie, older than your average new player and was an international. BUT, the same could have been said about numerous players.I'm hearing you Shan. It's more about playing the percentages with where our list is at.
