It would be great to get Mitchell, but apart from a tweet from a Richmond fanboi on Twitter, it hasn't been mentioned anywhere. Instead we will get a Motlop, Williams, Zach Clarke type to add to the Prestia trade this year.

We have a history picking up other clubs c graders and hoping to turn them into stars. This year it seems will be no different.

Nah, the stuff on Mitchell has been reported by journo's. i just reckon we are jumping at shadows. The silly season has started particularly early this year.

Seems we still haven't learnt anything.

This year we have been rumoured to have been chasing:

Mayne - 27 year old medium forward who doesn't kick goals.

Williams - Poor kicking small half back flanker that drifts in and out of games.

Zac Clarke - 27 year old tap ruckman with less around the ground presence than Hampson.

Motlop - 26 year old small forward who goes missing when the game is on.

Prestia - 24 year old mid who's kicking is little iffy and has had knee issues for the last two years.

Actually don't mind Prestia if we don't sell the farm for him, but he shouldn't be the showpiece of our trade period.

As for the others, we just don't learn from the sins of the past.

No more recruiting players with no ticker.

No more recruiting c graders. Even for free.

Of course, it's gospel that we've been chasing those players!! I mean seriously! Just wait and see what happens in reality, not the virtual reality on here

I have always felt that in 2012 we played our best football under Halfstep.

We took the game on, players played to their strengths, unfortunately weaknesses existed (as they do in any club) but our coaching/recruiting department moved away from that and the players all play a dumb style now. No amount of off season recruiting or deck chair shuffling will turn our fortunes around until buzz light year comes to grips with the hand he is dealt.

Morris keeps getting thrown in when talking about moneyball duds.
First of all it cost us one pick position.
Second, he was playing good footy when we were playing fast and attacking. People had nothing but praise for him years ago when he was our lock down defender. We used to get destroyed by small forwards- Milne and Betts used to have a field day before Morris shut them down. He also broke lines too like he starting doing again this year up until his injury.
He went shit when they tried to make him a small forward after Kingy retired. Then he wasn't up to the chip kick and control footy of 2015.
He's not the best but he is good at the small back role. Is definitely not as bad as some people think.
If we go back to 2012/2013 gameplan and put him in the backline then he would be a solid player again. Go back and watch his last few games from this year

The dogs have shown that a manic attack at the footy and the man is what gets you through. Id daresay we would be a better team with 22 Morris type players (manic but lesser skilled) than the softcocks that make up our team currently.
