Brutal. My wife's still looking at me like I owe her money and won't let me anywhere near her.

You're getting a good taste of it now though. Best of luck brother. :thumbsu:
Doesnt get any better mate. My youngest is 22 and my missus still looks at me like that.

ReIntroduce yourself to your hand.

If we forget the need for mids and look at it purely on taking best available - who would you go for? Forget about mids, half forwards, half backs, key position players, who would it be?

Big three then Stephenson, Fogarty, Cerra, Hunter Clarke, Boneman and Oscar Allen.

a) I can't keep up with the swirling opinions in this thread

b) at least one of our picks must be a pure mid, the other needs to have serious mid credentials

c) D Fog is a massively exciting prospect, was the first player to catch my eye at the start of the season, however questions have to be around tank and ceiling (IE drafting a man-child). I'd be interested in opinions/data on his tank V dusty's tank at same age; also form. I think Carlton might draft him anyway before us.

d) IMHFO people best get used to the fact that if Coffield is available he'll be a Saint, IMHFO meaning we won't be taking a D Fog or Bonar or Stephenson type, more a Brayshaw (who I'd be rapt with)

The love is not necessarily because his projection for some of us isn't as a medium half forward.

Yeah, I see him like Petracca, plays forward but will transition into a part time mid with time. Something about him reminds me of Mark Ricchuto. His disposal is really good too.

I reckon Brayshaw and Coffield would be a very dull duo. We need outside run not a pure inside mid. We have inside bulls coming out of our ears already. To me Richmond and the Dogs won premierships based around several smaller running forward lines. Fog gets us closer to that along side Billings and Gresh etc.

This!
Lucky we kept our picks because we wouldn't have anything to talk about!
I'm completely confused about who we should be taking...just as well I dont get to decide.
I won't even melt after the draft because I'm not sure who I should be melting about! :straining:

I was a fan early days, but there has been a few good judges along the way who question his ability to play mid. Not sure he's shown anything there yet? 2 weeks ago I was unsure why he was so out of love. Now it seems every club's boards want him from about 4 or 5 down! I think people are projecting quite a bit. I'd be happy enough with him, but not first choice and I think there is still risk of him flat lining a bit and not having a clear role at the next level.

Bishop thinks dfog is unlikely our target from what he has heard and thinks Brayshaw and Bonar double is most likely. Must rate Bonar to take him this early. Wish there was more info on him.
And fairly scathing in his response to you about work ethic. Still think there is a lot of risk with him. If we had 7 and early teens, then you’re getting a little thinner and early teens is worth it, but looking past what will still be on the board at 7 or 8...

See I don't think a pure mid is of necessity an inside bull. I'm more referring to players who specialise playing in and around the ball (as against flanker either end). Both Tigs and Dogs batted a lot deeper than us in that department.

Fog ain't a smaller running forward. He's a genetically altered beast pulled straight from the jungle whose challenge will be to find a position that makes the most of his raging ape qualities, I feel.

Thing is if we take Coffield, we can't take a D Fog or Bonar as we won't have drafted a midfielder.

Who knows, perhaps the best result is that Coffield is gone (to the Pies say) and we take Brayshaw and D Fog. Kind of assuming Cerra is gone.

Who is Bishop?
