The hate on Tobie is bizarre. Looks an absolute beauty to me… runs like a gazelle, quick, breaks the lines and amazing size. Tauru could be the best player from this draft… in any other year he’d be pick 2-3 . Think we’ve nailed this.

There is no hate on Tobie. Not at all. But there is mystified heads at what our strategy is given our glaring needs.

Levi Ashcroft was bid on at 5 and the best pick Brisbane used was 40. The differential of 35 is the second highest ever.

It is amazing that pick 40 is worth anything. I wouldn't trade a top 5 pick for any amount of picks outside the top-20.

We selected him and he is not a pure mid, so some are having tanty's without ever seeing him. I would have preferred Reid myself and a bit disappointed but all the best mids were gone, so I will back the club and back the kid instead of shitcanning him.

Pretty low from some on here.

Haven't seen one person shit can TT. Some wild narratives being built around people disappointment we selected 2 defenders after being sold midfield needs by Ross and the club all year. Hell Jack Steele was talking about mids and hour before the draft started.

I really like Reid too but he went behind Tobie, Hotton, Berry & Allan so he clearly wasn't rated by the AFL recruiters.

If you go back through the pre draft chat the idea of Reid was being laughed at as well.

Like it or not, there wasn't a consensus next best mid on the table.so we took the hybrid that beat Harley Reid for the Pioneers BnF last year.
