how many marks after "he dominated that qtr" and against who?
Just as many as any of their big men. It's definitely a weakness he needs to improve but he's been the dominant big man out there. He's continually giving out mids first use of the ball, unfortunately we aren't doing enough with it.

He's also the leading tackler out there. Not a bad effort for a big guy.

1 mark. thats it. which is my point. he's up against pretty soft opposition height wise out there.

i dont care how the opposition is going, we need our tall ruckman clunking them and being influential aerially. which is my point

And what I am saying is that his dominant ruck work and his pressure at ground level is more than making up for it at this stage. Which is my point.

he's coming up against ineffectual tap ruckmen, he's dominating as he should be.

he needs to be having an impact in the marking contest, thats the 2nd most important area for a ruckman. he doesnt do that and neither does the other rucks on our list. they're big blokes who are ****ing soft in the contest

18 touches, 4 marks, 6 tackles and 50 hit outs. He made some mistakes but I'm not sure how anyone could call that a bad game.

He also had more contested touches that ANYONE in our side.

I agree he needs to do more around the ground and I like most have doubts but he did it pretty well today.

He didn't have many helping. He has little skill, but you can't question his endeavour and his heart.

Their midfield just sharked too much of his work.

Martin, Kelly & Fyfe will make NO difference when your butchering the footy & turning the ball over constantly in the back half.

From what I've seen in the last 2 weeks, I wouldn't be getting my hopes up about recruiting anybody this off season.
Who would want to play in that sh*t I just watched

Wrong thread but Fyfe is not the answer for this group. We need elite kicking going into 50, I don't think Fyfe offers that. Martin and Kelly far better options.

this post was so good i thought i would quote it in here. i agree with it completely. fyfe's ball use is very bad and would only amplify our problems in that regard. i also feel he's more an inside mid now and doesnt have the impact fwd of center. he's a bit more of the same albeit a much better option than what we already have

Forget trading our 1st picks for players , dont care who they are , we arent ready .

We need players who can keep us in contest or keep our team going. None in our side are capable of doing it.

I reckon 2 x 1st rounders would help find what we need . Absolutely target FA but not at the expense of early picks . We need more than 1 Classy player .
