I agree with both of what you are saying which is why i wanted two rucks but we are 1 player to tall, ceglar for schoe or nash to a lesser extent would be perfect not miles.
The tigers will walk the ball out with all those talls to much left on the small players to tackle roughy, schoe, mcevoy will struggle to chase and land 2 tackles each in the 50.
Howe will definatly come in i think, rumour is boxhill expecting nash.

Yes very surprised with the team selected.

We went Brand and Frawley last time against them and their forwards were too quick.

We now go with Rough, Schoey, Nash and resting ruckmen up forward. Maybe they are looking at playing Nash further up the ground...

Howe for Nash would have been my thought... which means Shiels, JOM, Worps and Issie can all have stints forward.

The Tigers are only the quickest team forward of the ball when they have the ball. Clarko is backing our talls to clunk a lot of contested marks and control the play. Our structure vs their Chaos, it may be a spectacular failure but we won't die not knowing...
Gotta back your strengths to overcome their strengths. Only way to win.

Still think that a late change will happen. Howe in for Shoe to play one role .... wear Dusty or Cotchin like a blanket, bump them, niggle then and give them the shits the whole game. If Howe touches it 5 times but Dusty or Cotchin don’t get into the Tigers best without a doubt Howe will be in Clarko’s coaches votes.

Anyone dropped now will have to be for an injury though won't they and will be ineligble for BHH, right?

FWIW I think Shoe should stay in, he hasn’t played in a losing team this year so he must add something.

When Grigg goes into ruck, Silk to the ball as the clearance specialist, they will rove to our ruck and we have to take full advantage of their weaknesses with the best in the business. Force them to play Nankervis for extra minutes and wear him down.

I like that we’ve selected our best team available , play to our strengths and let Richmond worry about what we are doing if that’s what they want too .

The forward line reads tall but we do have Nash who is arguably our quickest and best pressure player @ 197 in there. I hope he stays if we make the late change .
We don’t need the big guys to clunk everything , pinch a goal or two would be nice . Just make sure Rance and co don’t and back our small and mids in.

It also gives us flexibility to make a change .
Can’t complain it’s the best side we have available against the best team in the comp.

Hopefully it's not wet.

I thought we were playing a lot of the chaos options of late.

Still reckon Howe should have been in for Shoes, as Nash is going really well, as well as a tough competitor with some marking ability.
Shoe is so important to our line-up, yes his stats are almost always the worse but what he does creates opportunities for everyone else in the forward line.
In the Geelong game and the Essendon game in the two favourite clips for everyone, Shoe is there.
Please people give the guy a break, he is the classic 'sacrificial lamb' of the team.

I think you've nailed it.
Especially if it's raining or wet - Howe for Shoey.

I think we've been cagey with our selection. The statement from the club (I think from Clarkson?), that Howe is unlikely because he's only had a 5 day break after the Box Hill game, is too cute.
They nursed him through the Box Hill game! He didn't get on the ground at all in the first quarter and then used sparingly during the rest of the game.
Howe was brilliant last Sunday. He's a quality tagger and great in wet weather.

If they drop Nash for Howe, I'll publicly destroy my membership card, defecate on Clarkson's front door mat and drive my car through the Waverley front door (in that order)!!!

Like many I feel we are going in too tall and I expect Howe to come in for Shoe, especially if it rains.

That said, what the **** would I know compared to Clarko? Just got to have faith.

Everyone saying they will walk out of our defence. Defences always have the numbers and stroll out of defence anyway. We have our notable defensive players in Poppy, Nash & Bruest.

If we take marks and kick the goals then the umpires will stroll the ball out of defence which is what we want.

If we get umpired like we did against the Swines, the umpires will stroll the ball out by paying Richmond any free they want.

Hope he’s had loads of kicking practice
Goal kicking is a bonus at the moment, I'm more happy to have him out there due to his bone crunching tackles, endurance and ability to cover the ground at super high speed.

Sick of the broken record comments about his kicking.

Have to try and get the Tigers this year, they get even stronger in 2019 with the addition of Lynch.
Pretty sure they said the same about the Swans when they got Buddy, we would get weaker and they would get stronger then 2014 put that to bed
