Do you think Roughie drinks a smoothie before the game to try and balance things out?

IF we are playing mind games, they would be on the couch not the bench...

Be careful saying "Starting Four" when drunk. Wouldn't want a Farting Store.

Are a Sunday Arvo good?

The link's on the blink.

According to U2 it's Bloody Sunday.

Might be too dry to go short with Poppy

I've gone up a notch with my belt.

I wonder of the fitness staff measure Miles stats in imperial?

Dad Joke Day was yesterday, Dude.

So is this crap around giving rubbish Birch updates finally over or what? He was listed as 1-2 weeks, then on Sunday it says indefinite in the paper... miles played for BHH, so will he play Thursday? Seems odd that both Miles and KB played, can only think KB won't play Thursday

Pressure acts and 1%ers win finals. Richmond are well drilled and trust each other. They have proven to be the best at it for 18 months.

They are not brilliant though, and pressure has a way of denting confidence. We are capable of applying this pressure on every line.

Being mentally switched on is the key and our first quarter will speak volumes. We need to be in touch. It saved us against Sydney.

We cannot win without rough. We need you roughy! We need that leadership now more than ever.

Birch reports all year have been hog wash. He isn’t playing this year unfortunately.

Re KB, he will not play. Has been getter better though as the weeks have progressed. Just not an automatic starter.

Miles desperately unlucky if he misses. Has been so solid and found continuity.

MCC predicting 95,000 on Thursday which would be our 2nd largest non Grand Final crowd ever...

1971 Major Semi Final - 99,922 (Hawthorn v St Kilda)
2018 Qualifying Final - 95,000 est. (Richmond v Hawthorn)
1981 Queens Birthday - 92,935 (Hawthorn v Collingwood)
1963 Major Semi Final - 91,471 (Geelong v Hawthorn)
1974 Preliminary Final - 88,262 (North Melbourne v Hawthorn)
2016 Semi Final - 87,823 (Hawthorn v W Bulldogs)
2016 Qualifying Final - 87,753 (Geelong v Hawthorn)
1961 Major Semi Final - 87,741 (Hawthorn v Melbourne)
1977 Major Semi Final - 87,421 (Collingwood v Hawthorn)
2011 Preliminary Final - 87,112 (Collingwood v Hawthorn)
1963 Preliminary Final - 86,546 (Hawthorn v Melbourne)

Interesting that our last 3 MCG finals would feature 2, 6 and 7 in that list...

Also of note our most famous rivalry doesn't feature until #11

2001 Preliminary Final - 86,461 (Essendon v Hawthorn)

Back to the game...

Roughead more into the middle to force him into the game as still very clever with taps and handballs / little touches.

Always thought Roughy was a mid fielder in a key position body.

Can’t help think that maybe Clarko’s comments on Rough’s future are part motivation for rough to stick it up everyone writing him off

Will be very excited if he plays major time in guts

So it looks like Miles out for Sicily and Brand out for Frawley.
Mirra & Cegs didn't play,so if he pulls up okay is it Howe for Mirra?
Does Cegs come in for Schoey also?

This September campaign has a bit of a fresh feel to it as a supporter. During the three peat era we knew how good our side was and what they could do. It came down to delivering on the day.

This feels a bit different. I have no idea what to expect and some of our kids have really delivered in tight games recently (including Box Hill on the weekend).

It is a different feel to normal, tbh i've seriously been feeling a little 2008 the last couple of weeks :)

One of my Richmond supporting mates is in some rare form currently by claiming that all the pressure is on Hawthorn as we weren’t expected to be top 4, so we need to prove we belong.

He also believes that due to the Tigers winning last year, they aren’t under any pressure to win because all of their supporters are still happy with last year.

He’s of the opinion this year is a free hit for them.

This is the type of smugness that they’ve developed from 2 good years in 30.

I genuinely despise the Richmond Football Club

Let’s hope the Richmond players share his sentiment.

Impey will play on Short, it's Short's first final and Jarman will work him over physically from the first bounce. Hardwick will likely play on Rioli but the other matchups are less certain (aside from Frawley Riewoldt).

That's the way I see it. Sicily, Howe and Cegs in.

Honestly, looking back over our premiership teams,we might not be there yet, however this mighty team will be formidable with these finals under their belts.

Carna Hawks!
