Taking him there also safeguarded against someone snagging him after we had passed (and finished the draft). Dees, who had shown some interest, still did have a live pick after 77 (80) and would still have been a danger. Was good to lock him in. As has been mentioned it also enables us to now Cat B Wraith if we want to.

Well done Pies on a good academy and FS only draft!

When does the rookie draft start? 5pm?

Yep. We can't take anyone though. Now we have Atu we can't elevate ny of our existing rookies to create the room on the Cat A list. Wraith may be considered as a Cat B though.

17 of the 77 players selected in the National Draft were Academy or FS selections.

Good to see the draft is now as transparent and even as the draw.

Yeah I know. Just not sure when the Cat B stuff is sorted, if it is.

It's a good question. I'm not sure if it is before or after the Cat A draft. Some of the comments from other posters made me think it was before but could be wrong there.

Without going back through all the previous posts, what’s the go with Atu now? Why did we trade out pick 63? Are we going to rookie him?

1) what’s the go with Atu now?

He is ours, and awesome and now on our senior list, so he is guaranteed a 2 year contract.

2) Why did we trade out pick 63?

Somewhere before there, we reached a point where the only player we were left with an interest in for the ND was Atu. Because no matter where he was bid on by anybody else after then it didnt matter, as we could use pick 96 to match, 63 was basically value we were going to waste if we used it on Atu, so we converted it into value for us while we could.

Basically like this

3) Are we going to rookie him?

See above
