Definitely. Particularly in the first 30 picks you might be able to slide back just a few places and get a decent pick upgrade if another team near you in the order is worried about missing out on someone they really rate

It's almost certainly because Gown came off the board.

I anticipated we would take Atu with our next pick so it was smart to get some value for a pick we weren't going to use.

Yes he we will be able to add another rookie is Murray is banned.

There's some chance a club could grab Broomhead or course, but it is probably minimal with the severity of his injury and the limited body of work he has at AFL level to this point in time.

I can't see any other club wanting to take a chance on him enough to get in the way of the arrangement we have with him.

I think Broomy has been inconsistent, whereas Murray was able to find a rich vein of form this year.

I guess both players would have to step it up to get into our 2019 team (Murray with IQ / Scharenberg coming in, Broomhead with our settled ‘swoop squad’)
