Few I would like;

Gown would be one for sure along with Jack Mayo from WA. Tall forward type.

Jack Ross is a mid from Oakleigh but I suspect they will look in other place.

I think some interesting names will drop down to our selection. View is forming up at Club land that top 8 v high quality. Next 20 good but after than pretty thin. Usually in drafts like that you get some left fielders.

Good to hear we are looking at KPF Prospects

AFL Draft Central.

We've been testing it all day preparing stuff, so fingers crossed it all goes well, but it should. It's the first trial we've done so we're hoping it goes well :)

Why?

Because we have traded away our 2019 1st round selection and it's against the rules?

If you are basing your assumption on points deficit then going by this article http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-08-12/afl-closes-draft-bidding-system-loophole (granted from 2015) we would presently have 741 season 2019 points up our sleeve on top of this years 1260.

Total 2001 points.

So if for example Adelaide were to bid on Quaynor at 13 (bid matched) and then Kelly immediately after at 14 by my calculations that would equate to 1898pts after the 20% discount so we could acquire both players.
Not allowed anymore.

The moment you go into deficit, you have to take the deficit off the corresponding pick the following year. Without a R1, we just can't. If Kelly's bid comes in Round 2, we can take the deficit off our Round 2 selection. We should be fine regardless UNLESS Quaynor's bid comes in the top 10 and Kelly's comes in the first round as well.

We'll get both boys anyway.
Kelly our long term key back (like daddy but more skilled and athletic)
Quaynor.

It's happening regardless of speculation.

If you recall Craig Kelly, and Will got to his levels, we'd be thrilled I reckon.
If Quaynor is a more skilled and smarter Lumumba we'd be very happy indeed.
That would make Quaynor an absolute champion

If you really rated lumumba that highly.
He was a good player, had a great year or so, but too me just took too many steps too often.

If on the off chance we have a live pick after 50 that isn't going to Academy or F/S players I hope we look at a KPF... but history suggests the ones later in the draft are usually not much good (B Brown being the exception).

Otherwise for a late pick Mitch Podhjaski - a 190cm+ inside midfielder who tackleswell, and can rotate forward and take a mark and kick a goal.

Or maybe Latham Vandermeer...a 180cm with great agility, run and a good kick... he tested well at the combine and will likely be available after 50 as he had an injury interrupted year.

You wouldnt think that we would need either with Quaynor and Beams joining our list.. but developing additional run and carry, and inside midfielders who can effectively rotate forward... is IMO complimentary to our game plan.

Especially with Murray likely punted, Broomhead iffy and big bodied midfield depth like Wills not likely to make it beyond 2019.

* would love to see us take Marty Hore but I think that was unlikely and with the Irish lads arriving that definitely won't happen now.

Yeah, but he was talking about a 'more skilled and smarter' Harry O. Eg. one with Harry's assets who didn't just run as far as he could and blindly smash it forward. Imagine Harry O's strengths with Sharenberg's cleanliness and brain.

Now that is a good point.

I think with late picks you have to go best available. There aren't great options left by the end of the draft, so you don't want to dramatically reduce the field further by crossing blokes off due to player type. But in terms of player type for our list, I'd be hoping that best available was either a KPF or someone with genuine pace adept at using it either offensively or defensivley - preferably both.

Can’t wait for Hine’s roughy that no one has ever heard about :)
Finally!

Get the Welcome to Collingwood OA thread ready TD!

Folks, you probably know about this.
The AFL also uses a tracker and if you wish to avoid the tv or radio presentation or can’t do so or whatever you can follow using this link.

Names just pop up as selected.

Draft starts (Melbourne time) 7pm that’s tonight.

Tomorrow (Friday) 12pm

Rookie Draft tomorrow 7pm

I am hopeful tonight we just and Isaac at a decent price.

Tomorrow we grab Will and then sit back and watch and see if something falls our way.

Be great to look at a Mayo or Gown but I think Hawthorn will get Gown.
Let’s hope hawthorn fall in a big brown gold hole

What do you mean? Is the draft run over 2 days now? If so, what a wank festival.
Yes only first round tonight.

Tomorrow rest of draft.

Then from 6 the rookies.

So by Friday evening all our players picked will be revealed.

Or take it to the bank that we are acquiring Quaynor and Kelly.

:)
