I actually think it'll happen .....if as we expect the Neale deal gets done

I'm not so sure May deal gets done ? .......If Gold Coast finish bottom next year, if May leaves, GC will have both picks #1 and #2 next year .....that's a powerful hand & every reason not to trade him this year
I can see no possible reason for GC to deal May. He's their captain, happy to stay another year, ten times the player Hombsch is and they will get pick 2 for him next year. Added to that they already have a great draft hand this year and it makes Xero sense.

I honestly don’t think we make our move until draft night now. I think Reid and Ogilvie have gone with a strategy to just plant seeds and see if anything grows. And if nothing comes to fruition then just wait and see who falls to 4 or 5 on draft night. Then either attack or sit tight.

What we didn't see were the electric leads attached to his legs and the head cage with rats sitting right next to him...i didn't think confessions extracted under torture counted
Lol. It does seem like a reluctant agreement. Apparently he wants a 4-5 year contract on more money to move to Port.

Another 5 year Power contract!

We'll ask Jamal Khashoggi, if the Saudis ever find him

Maybe the guy we have our eyes on, is not with an AFL club currently ....so we can't trade for him, but will have to Draft him or Rookie
and we won't be selling "D Fort" for him.

See what I did there?

for those pro/con trading up or staying put, just for shiggles, see if anyone can id the described player - Cal Twomey's draft notes:

... the South Australian being touted a top-three prospect for most of the year. And they'll love him, too, with his class, poise and goalkicking skills excellent for a midfielder. He had an interrupted season with a niggling hip injury, which required surgery at the end of the year, but he'll be fine for the club's pre-season and for next year. Announced himself as a draft pick in this sort of range late last year, when he starred for SANFL side Woodville-West Torrens as they charged to the league premiership. Has excellent leadership qualities that were on show as captain of his state this season, and some already see him growing into an AFL captain.

Sounds like a gun, playing with mature bodies, SA boy... Nature vs nurture argument is relevant, but no guarantees in footy.

Some good reading on the port board at the moment.
They seem defeated and it's only October.
Long may it continue

IMO Tim Kelly falls through if WCE can’t get the pick upgrade
They can't ...they were trying to get the Sydney #12 .....and no club below Sydney wants to trade out of the Top 10 .....So I think you maybe correct

The smell of corruption on trade Radio just now was palpable. Kane says he’s going to grill gill on the Scully trade for which he comments that Damo seems nervous. Then once gill in on air they announce that Damo is now an AFL employee and the grilling on the Tom Scully deal is conveniently forgotten. Unbelievable

We will be active today... 100% confident deal's will be done and will top the McGovern deal for this period

Apparently waiting for a deal to fail/fold so we can slide under the carpet
