Umm no, we lost that game so it doesn't explain it at all.Ah yes, the last game pitch was just a mine field. That would explain the review cok ups, dropped catches and Lyon fielding brilliance...

I didn't think Starc would do any worse than our 3 in the last Test 4th dig and would have been handy against the tail; a fair chance of yorking Leach, at least.
I was happy to see him picked, even happier when he made some runs last night,
BUT
then he bowled total garbage, all over the place. I thought "Meh, maybe trying too hard", went to bed.
If he's trying to bowl line & length now he's failing and one would have to ask why, anyway.
I'd like to see him bend his back, up his pace, bounce several at their chins and get that yorker going.
His lack of venom and erratic lines are making Burns and Root very comfy , and he should have them hopping.
Extremely disappointing, to say the least.

Give us a good contest between bat and ball not a dead game with no wickets and the batsmen scoring at 2 an over.
In that test, Siddle got a lot of edges to fielders and they dropped them... Khawaja and Warner were at fault in those cases. And Siddle was kept out by Pattinson in the last test.
In the last Test he played Siddle got one wicket in the first innings at an E/R of 3.69. Even on this road I'm sure Starc will end up with better than that.

oh the guy who could of won the ashes is back bowling
Miss Clarke in that regard, was a tactical geniusSurprised Marnus hasn't had two overs before tea, Paine seems a lot like Smith in that regard isn't willing to gamble for a few overs.
This pitch is a road.
Smith's 211 isn't looking so great now.
Burns and Root will go past him if they can keep their heads down.
