Not a good session. Some real brainless planning where we seemed to just assume a few short balls at Burns would be all that was needed with no Plan B.

That said I think some are being a bit over dramatic saying this is a certain draw, all you need to do is take a look at what's to come. You've got the brilliance Roy at 4, an injured Stokes, completely out of form Buttler and they've lost their only good tail ender.

I'm almost not even disappointed in Starc, I blame Langer. We had a clear plan at the start of the series that didn't involve Starc and we threw it out the window in a panic because Jack Leach scored a single last Test.

There was always a reasonable chance of Starc playing at one of Old Trafford/The Oval because his express pace can be very useful on flatter decks where not much movement can be found.

Hasn't worked though.

Our last bowler who had a similarly beefy build to Malinga was Ryan Harris. You are onto something here.
Damn shame we never got to see a fit Cummins and Harris in the same side. Harris, Cummins and Johnson could have been lethal.

Yeah he should pipe down after his really average 211 I agree

He's a great batsman but he's still a chirpy flog in the field like most of the Australians.

The only Aussie that isn't is this man.

You never see Cummins gobbing off, he just backs his own talent #Cummins4Captain

It seems odd that you would be criticizing others for being chirpy flogs. Hell funny though
