Another who obviously has far too much spare time. :p

Anyone seen Malcolm Rosas play? Seems pretty handy for a late pick. His and Biggie Nyuon's video both look pretty good.

Didn't GC already take him as part of their AFL assistance? Unless I'm thinking of another kid..

Hmm could be right, Now you m ention it I heard Dew today speaking about some really fast kid from Darwin playing small forward for them in training.
Shame, he looks bloody good.

Not really just like the look of him. Once he puts on size he looks a real inside outside competitor to me.

2.97 20m sprint (10th), 8.245 agility (10th), 6.01 2km time trial (3rd) were his draft combine highlights. Seems fast enough, certainly sees it as a key strength of his.

Not that keen on Flanders. Kemp I’d be happy with injury risk aside.

To be playing against men at his current size, and succeeding, says a fair bit to me.
I feel we may move up the draft to get another first rounder.
Gut feel I have.

Was interesting when Beatson was asked why we weren’t interested in Green. “We are interested in a different sort of Mid.”

Not exactly sure what that means for our pick 5 and who may fit that different profile.
Green is a one paced in & under hard nosed midfielder. Clearly we want explosive pace from the contest & are comfortable knowing that Hewitt, Parker, Heeney etc can play a similar role to what Greene provides. Hence we want to go after an attacking midfielder IMO.

Maybe we go the other way....Under Twomeys phantom GC 15 and 20 picks translate to kemp and rivers (Gould as well but I’m overlooking him). Rivers can play and wants to play midfield but missed preseason earlier this year due to glandular fever, played 1st WA match with only 2 weeks training apparently and that’s why he played defence this year. So trading 5 for 15 & 20 Lands some interesting return....fits in with maximising picks....anyway good luck draft team...

We can't actually trade our 2020 1st Round Pick as things stand without trading back into the 4th Round of next years draft first. So while it should be fairly easy to do, that has to be taken into account as well as that effects our points tally for our academy pick next year and any deficit we are willing to take on in 2021 as a result.
I think it's a given that Paps will leave next season & that should land us plenty points to cover any bids on our academy boys IMO.
I genuinely feel we are prepared to off load our first pick next year if it gets our second pick up the order.
It makes plenty sense the more I think about it.

I’d go to Port before Gold Coast.

5 for 12 & 16.

Or maybe better 5, 25 and 32 or 44 for 12, 16, 18 (or similar).
Go into the draft with 12, 16, 18 and 32.

Or just keep 5 and go to the well.

I took that to be Beatson giving a big F.U. to their Vic media driven and accepted narrative, where they agree with each other enough on what the Swans are doing so in their minds and reporting it becomes the truth. Then they’re always shocked when we do our own thing
Maybe Beatson was throwing in a little caustic chaser to GWS as well: You sold the farm to get ahead of us in the draft when you didn't need to as wouldn't have picked him anyway.

Probably would have, but hey.

GWS also wanted Adelaide out of the way given they did some serious homework on him.

That’s better but i don’t see port going for it. Be great if they did though...that’s excellent...can see GC wanting 3 picks in 1st 5....

I actually asked Port fans and even though they don't make the decisions they seemed to like the 12/16 for 5 deal, them thinking it was probably fair.

If we wanted it I am sure we could make the deal happen with Port.
