That’s better but i don’t see port going for it. Be great if they did though...that’s excellent...can see GC wanting 3 picks in 1st 5....

First one I could possibly see. Similar to GWS trade of 12 and 18 for 6.

Second one is a little optimistic for sure haha

Green is a one paced in & under hard nosed midfielder. Clearly we want explosive pace from the contest & are comfortable knowing that Hewitt, Parker, Heeney etc can play a similar role to what Greene provides. Hence we want to go after an attacking midfielder IMO.

No point having explosive pace though if the ball's just gonna end up to our disadvantage once the 'explosion' has happened. Mids like Flanders play right into the hands of intercepting defenders.

Maybe we go the other way....Under Twomeys phantom GC 15 and 20 picks translate to kemp and rivers (Gould as well but I’m overlooking him). Rivers can play and wants to play midfield but missed preseason earlier this year due to glandular fever, played 1st WA match with only 2 weeks training apparently and that’s why he played defence this year. So trading 5 for 15 & 20 Lands some interesting return....fits in with maximising picks....anyway good luck draft team...
GC's picks not as good as Port's but might be more gettable - Dew certainly didn't rule out trading up today on the afl show. Made it seem an active consideration of theirs actually.
Not for me though, just a tad out of reach re the players I want.

If the Tigers land Cooper Stephens I'll be right pissed off.

Unfortunately we can't draft Zorko at 5.

Beatson interview was strange. Says clubs now have to be careful about spilling too much into about who they are interested in and next minute rules out bidding for Green.

Actually can see Port doing that...12 & 16 for our 44 & 5. Gives them points for Mead - in the 20s, jumps over Adelaide (maybe take what they want) and 2 1st round picks...not bad at all....12, 16, 25 & 32 would be good for the swans....bring it on..😏

It was interesting to watch that’s for certain.

My impression was he’s implying to whoever our target is, that they’re our number 1 choice. I rather liked that, even though I’m annoyed we’re not bidding on Green.

2.5 hrs for 10 bids.

Shoot me now
None of them are going to be playing for 3 months, there's no rush. Just check in on Friday to see who got drafted

I must be one of the few that likes the length especially with live trading.

I want the NBA rules to come in soon where you can live trade players after they have been drafted

Gould keeps sliding, could be there at 25
Goulds a funny one. His results in game are excellent, however, he's not a KPD, he's not particularly fast, he's not a great kick, he's not a great mark, etc, etc. He doesn't stand out as having any great asset, but his results are very good.

I picture him as being a Rampe type in that he looks like a general defender but his results exceed this.

I thought he was supposed to be a very good kick.

He'll be an interesting one, and a player I have given up trying to place. Probably goes in the second round somewhere. One of Gold Coast's second round picks seems a reasonable punt.

Agreed, but I have zero doubt that we would take Green if we could. He's the perfect JPK replacement.

It is possible that we have given up on the idea of replacing JPK are are more focussed on more versatile players who can play as inside mids "part time". Flanders, Serong, etc are those types of players.

Beatson interview in full for those who haven’t seen it

A genuine football player then.
