I do have info on this. I wouldn’t call it inside info but I was told in the January before the draft that what eventually did happen would happen. Or at least that was the wish of Josh.

GC Suns just have so much gall asking for a top 2 priority pick when not two years ago they gave away a top 2 pick for Lachie Weller.

Not just Weller but they did a bizarre pick swap with West Coast that literally gave West Coast free second rounders then last year did a disastrous pick swap with Brisbane, two pick 19s for a pick 14 is what it's turned out to be.

Been some gross incompetence at GC but the AFL have one crack at getting it right and that needs to be now and significant. Seems everyone is already resigned to GC getting pick 1 so they can recruit mates Rowell & Anderson.

We've got pick 5 now, the third "live" pick this draft.

But to answer your question, yes, I do. Based on what has been reported I think it is reasonable to suspect that he would have been angling for a return to Victoria as soon as possible. Most players at least wait until after they have been drafted to play the "I want to go home" card. He played it in advance.

He did play it in advance but people mature and change their thinking. Nobody, not anyone can predict something that didn’t happen!

Crouch is a decent player in a pretty weak midfield. He’s no star & not worth a 5 year risk.

It was an odd draft - most of the top tier players were selected between 10 and 25.

Still, I’m happy to have Mills.

I would still love to see him in the midfield.

Don’t think he suits the midfield, kicking , pax’s and his lack of awareness in tight don’t suit.
