Young Joe Daniher is a great kid, and family with Ungarie & Swans links.

But a massive risk in the medical room. If he isn't right after 2 years, when will he be?

We don't need Tippett V2.0

Well let's not get too upset just yet. Actual reality will be very different to Barrett & co's reality.

The article reads to me like the author has received information from two of the three clubs of the article. It reads like he's used what Essendon and Carlton have told him they want in their ideal situation without anything from the Swans.

I'd be stunned if this is what the trade ends up being.

Agreed. Especially given it's not even close to matching up with what we have said.

Come on, fellow Bloods........

Things we know.

1. Barrett (and pretty much all of his colleagues) write for clicks. That is their only objective. Create talk. They are only vaguely (very vaguely) limited by reference to truth.
2. Dodoro's a ****wit. And Lloyd is a mouthpiece for Essendon Football Club.
3. Our club is by and large a pretty well run club.

Things we don't know.

1. The extent, if any, of Daniher's injury.
2. What our club is prepared to pay for Daniher or accept for Papley (if anything).
3. How our club assesses the value of Daniher not just from a playing perspective but also a commercial one (bums on seats matter).

So please stop rewarding the likes of Barrett with pages of outrage and bloodletting for every single one of his speculative expert suppositions.

Unless we've somehow done a medical and are 100% satisfied with his injury status - and I don't know how that could be the case - but even then, it's an overpay.

Daniher doesn't get "bums on seats" if he's in the medical room or not playing dealing with his "personal issues"

Has all the ingredients for a trade disaster and setting the club back years.

KPF is NOT a need, midfield IS a need, now!

so over hearing these lines about how 'we need to stay competitive' or x player is worth so many $$$$ off the field.

Shooter McGavin has a good idea about what would draw a crowd - 'a golfer with an arm growing out of his a**'.

That is likely a heavier price than WC will pay for Kelly - one of the very best players in the comp over the last two years.
A higher price than Lachie Neale - also one of the very best players in the comp over the last two years.
For an injury ravaged, likely cooked physically and mentally player - who would be ranked almost stone, motherless last in production for players active over the two years.

Not to mention the unders for Papley which deserves a whole new rant.

If that or even anything remotely close to that happens --- HARLEY OUT !

Even if Daniher was 100% fit and never got injured, he would never be worth what Barrett proposes.

It would comparable to what Carlton gave for Chris Judd, who was one of the greatest midfielders of all time in the prime of his career.

It would be the dumbest thing this club has ever done.
