If we pay the asking price for Daniher and lose Papley then we really have become the dumbest footy club on Earth. Joe might not ever play again. He'd be the most expensive non player on our list even trumping Tippett. If he thinks Swans can get his injury right he's barking up the wrong tree. Our medicos and fitness staff have a great record of stuffing up recovery. If you want good examples: Reynolds, King, Naismith, Buddy, Hayward and there's more a set of teatowls direct from Turkey and we'll throw in a free Turkish bath and a kilo of Turkish delight. You get the drift

You know when Stephen A Smith was absolutely pissed at the Knicks for not getting KD and Kyrie ,losing out on Zion and instead signed 3 power forwards? Yeah I would react the same way if we got absolutely screwed over in this potential trade.

Giants currently have pick 12 & 18 and nothing until 55. If we bid on Green at pick 5 they need to use both their first round picks and then get pushed back until pick 44.

We offer GWS pick 5 for their pick 12 and a 2020 first round pick (probably some other things too). This would ensure they have 2 first round picks in 2019 (pick 5 can match 3 & 4 on it's own) and we still stay in 2019 first round but also have more currency for 2020, but we miss out on Green entirely. We just keep talking about how keen we are for Green stating that we'll bid on if we go to the draft with pick 5

IMO if we're going to have a first round pick, it needs to be in the top 6, otherwise I'd hope we'd just not bother and use it to trade (though who, I don't know). I think there's a fairly steep drop-off after the first half a dozen kids. That's not to say there wouldn't still be handy players we could take beyond the top 10, but we'd be essentially robbing ourselves of an elite kid just to play nice with GWS, a courtesy of which they didn't extend to us last year when they bid on Blakey purely so he wouldn't be any more of a steal for us than he already was.

Josh Jenkins?
JUST IN: Sydney Swans have reportedly approached Adelaide forward Josh Jenkins’ management. Deal in the vicinity of four years, $2.5million. Second life on the cards for underrated power forward.
Phew, keen to get as many non midfielders as possible so they can never get near the pill.
